I earn everyday, have not earned today because the day has not ended yet. Your earnings come from the daily bond rate. Most days are usually high; however, if you top up and the rate is lower, you might see a negative return. It is advisable to top up at the end of the month. Salarys: |

EquityM:Okay. I'm actually interested in this. Looks like you started on the 23rd of last month. If you don't mind, how much did you start with? |

Started last year in December with 5k. I topped up because it was doing well. If you subscribe to it, top up at the end of the month or once a month so as not to get a negative return. If you look at the photo, the 8k minus came the next day after I did the top-up due to the NAV price. Salarys:

Great, bro. Yesterday negative return was due to profit taking. I think most people cashed out to rebalance their portfolio or earn some money. I hope the market will be back on track. Beeron: |

WaytoGo:Glad you took this leap of faith. Now eventhough it's general knowledge that we advise that you have a backup money market fund (which I believe you already investing in), you are not making a wrong decision investing in Equity at all. As a starter, leave the bulk of your investment capital in money market fund. Then test the Equity waters, with a little spare cash, if it something you like, then you can go all in with bigger funds. Nigeria economy swings like a pendulum to either money market or stock market, so you very strategic right now positioning yourself in both places. Welcome onboard. |

EquityM:Alright. You mentioned you're also with zenith quantum fixed income fund. How's that faring? |
| Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 8:32am On Jan 16 |
CardinalStone is better; Quantum Zenith has terrible customer service. Both funds are doing well at the moment. Furthermore, you get dividends semi-annually from the CardinalStone fixed income fund, and Zenith is annual. The dividend is not your earnings; unlike MMF, this is the coupon or gains made from the bonds or underlying asset. Salarys: |
| Re: Equity Investment. by Beeron: 8:47am On Jan 16 |
Salarys:This type of investment is what traditional MMF suppose to do to increase daily returns but due to the fact that most of these underlying investment are fixed to a duration, MMF can't do it to a larger extent because MMF investors always demand for their capital back every time. This is why we have fixed income market that invest in bond, commercial paper, term deposit and even money market. Investing in this fund means you holding for long to see constant gains and when you see red in the market, it mean bond price fluctuation. It doesn't mean your capital is at risk. I will also make a video on this after Equity video comes out. |

Do you advice one to start Fixed income trading also at the end of the month only? or this is best for top ups only? EquityM: |
| Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 10:00am On Jan 16 |
Top up only. You can start right away. It's up to you. But top-up should be once a month, not in tranches like MMF. mikeayus: |

EquityM:Good morning, this piqued my interest but that part about the deduction after topping up is a bit confusing. Could you give insight into that? Great work here |
| Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 10:49am On Jan 16 |
No deduction after top-up; the fund is based on bonds, if you top up, you are subscribing to a new bond, so if the price you purchase the bond for is lower, the next day will bring some red; however, if the price is higher, it will bring good earnings. Nevertheless, it does not affect your capital; once the price is up again, your capital will go up as well. The bond prices fluctuate; however, it pays much more earnings than MMF. There is also a peak period where you can make extra money. I'm still learning how it works. IamtheDef: |
