Most of the Muslim dominated countries are either battling with poverty or extremism. Put of the top 20 on the list, the only exceptions are Saudi, Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria. The remaining 16 are hotbeds of poverty, terrorism and extremism.

Because most of them are third world countries, which are situated in resource rich regions, which tends to discourage industrial development and such like.

Morroco, and Tunisia make a lot of money from toursim. Algeria is just an oil rich nation with a large tourist economy, and you know Saudi...not only are they the world's largest oil producer, but because their oil is cheap to extract, they can make a profit even when prices collapse.

Even then, some muslim countries like Jordan, Algeria etc have industrial sectors. Then there is Turkiye...a muslim country with a very developed economy, that is industrial. INdonesia and Malaysia are also coming up.

Many christian countries are also in the list of underdeveloped countries...like Zambia, and zimbabwe. Issue is, a country has to realize that resources, no matter what , are limited, and once they do that, they will develop, forget religion.

Iran has a lot of historical sites, and a lot of tourist sites. It also does have tourists. Not a lot of Americans, not high numbers, but it does.

Yes, muszlems, but you got to know that the Iranian muzlems are also weird (they support some trans rights, and women can get educated up to university level, and get jobs, and even run for office, and they also have a lot of science and tech...which is what you need to back up a nuclear programme, which is what they have.

We Nigerians have been arguing about this thing since the 1970's. Why do you think we haven't had religion in the census questions since 1991? Argument no start yesterday.

Even in 1986, CAN was saying there were 51% christians in Nigeria, Sheikh Gumi(the father of the current sheikh) put christians at 5%!

Stop fooling yourself. Nigeria's Muslim Population should be more than 65% of the country's total population. I disagree with this statistics. For instance, in 2023 a Muslim Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Nigeria was able to win elections in Nigeria on a Muslim/Muslim tickets, despite contesting against two other major Muslims contestants. While a major christian contestant on the platform of the workers party in the 2023 elections was busy campaigning from one Church to another in order to secure the bulk of christians vote, though he did because 70% of Nigerian christian eligible voters, voted for him. That presidential candidate, thought Muslims votes in Nigeria will be divided among PDP, NNPP & APC, yes they did. However, it is not enough to stop him from coming 3rd because, the Muslim Population in Nigeria is so overwhelming that he couldn't defeat them despite gaining more than 70% of Nigeria's Christian vote, while 95% of Muslims in North -East, North-West and North-Central Nigeria rejected him, hence, he came a distant 3rd, it has nothing with his unpopular running mate, as a core Muslim and northerner, after the first Military coup that killed our leaders 'Ahmadu Bello, Abubakar Tafawa Baleaw etc' we found it practically impossible to support someone east of River Niger as president. However, we are comfortable with our neighbours in South West, Mid-West and Sout-South, they are more trustworthy. It was the same politics couple Nigeria's Muslim population that defeated a sitting President Johnathan in 2015. Can anyone give us a more accurate statistics why Nigeria's Muslims are not more than 60% of the country's total population?

The numbers for Nigeria are just guestimates, since we have not had a census in the last 20 years and our census does not ask religion nor ethnic question.
