I was randomly thinking about this place yesterday and a demolition happening, crazy and wild to see that indeed demolition is happening. Nigerian government are zombies, to carry out efforts like this you need to prepare a place for relocation. Give them date to leave and if they don't then do whatever you like. But No they wont.

I knew it. That it will eventually come to this. Lagos is no more encouraging slums. But government needs to do more about the wastage on our roads. Especially at Alimosho area. It's such an eye sore.

I support urban renewal, but at the same time, government also need to do something for them.

This is so sad, I really wanted to visit this makoko one of the biggest slum in the world to witness and know how the people living there fell... So unfortunate I couldn't go there before it was demolished...

An end of an era

All these displaced people will definitely cause insecurity in lagos.

Whatever people says can't be followed ,people will use Makoko to abuse Lagos but Lagos State want to renovate the place ,people will be crying again .

If not poverty, why would people live in such conditions?

Now their shanties/businesses are destroyed, what's next?

Do we really have a caring government?

All these governors just dey demolish places anyhow this period
