Access to IRB hearings is being narrowed, delays are being cut, and the risk is much higher for late or “enter-first-claim-later” cases.

That is the point ..and it is correct.

A PRRA decision does not give someone a “day in court” in the sense of a full refugee hearing before a judge.

Bill C-12 is designed to:
(1) Reduce late asylum claims
(2) Limit access to IRB hearings ( which is seeing an immigration judge)
(3) Shift more cases to PRRA ( Close long-standing delay and appeal loopholes which will increase deportation )

I Pay attention to his message, he took a screenshot of the message I posted on Nairaland in less than a minute. We started chatting, and I pretended that I was going to send the money. He then requested my email and application number. I became suspicious and refused. He later called me, but I hung up the call.

How many times have you even come across my messages on this platform? Sometimes I ask questions not just for myself, but for my siblings, relatives, and friends. I am also trying to convince people that, with the right information on Nairaland, one can prepare and package a visa application independently without paying hard earned money to fake travel agents. Think deeply before you comment, never use the word of too desperate for a visa to me.

Help! I'm unable to save or proceed past the 'Activities' section of my visa application. It keeps saying the questionnaire isn't answered even though it's 100% complete. I've tried different PCs already. Has anyone found a fix for this?

Please how did know if any action is taking on your application, like you said eligibility is completed on tracker, did you receive message or you track it on IRCC Portal?
I also submitted application on 20th December, no biometrics yet, nothing have changed, is just as if visa officer has not taking a single action on my application.

I think I may have complicated the matter by choosing the option that I would not give biometrics because my existing biometrics are valid until September 2026. Unfortunately, my visa application was denied then around 2016 and biometrics valid for 10years

My biometrics are still valid until September 2026, but I have recently obtained a new passport with a 10-year validity and I attached a new passport to the document when I am submitting the neccessary document. I am not sure whether the visa office considers the passport validity period or the biometrics validity date when issuing a visa.

If they rely on the biometrics validity, I may only be granted a visa of about five or six months if my application is approved.

Can I raise a webform to draw their attention to the fact that I am now willing to give new biometrics, even though I initially selected the option not to? I hope this will not be seen as a red flag, or should I just remain calm and wait for now? Please, I need your advice.

Yesterday, Sunday 12th January, someone on this platform who is well known responded when I asked a simple question about how to track the progress of my application on the IRCC portal that I submitted my visa application on 20th December. Within seconds of posting my message, the person contacted me on WhatsApp, took screenshots of my messages, and claimed he could track my application for a fee.

I was surprised because I have never shared my WhatsApp number on this platform. Please let us all be mindful and cautious. There are many scammers here pretending to offer help while seeking personal information to scam people. I blocked the person immediately.

My people, I finally got the Canadian Visa approved after 4 refusals so don't give up !!
What documents left to submit was my future myself and family Death Certificate..
My advice will be go all out to establish solid home ties !
I mean very solid home ties, put at much documents as possible otherwise you just wasting your time.
They want to be sure you'll return.. The level of refusal is crazy now.
For me who has all my kids and family in Canada yet they stripped me naked..

Please go back to your quack visa agent or reapply. This is not normal. If you applied in 2024 and have had no update, there is likely a serious issue with your file. It may have been refused or resulted in a ban due to fake documents!

Canada is different , having your family in Canada is a high risk to them. I don’t know why.
I had to prove home tie using my Company and transactions .
Also I showed them I have over 15 Family members I send support money to each month.
They need proof so I attached bank deposit copies
My financial document I sent was over 50 documents Again when you’re attaching Bank statement have your Bank write a letter to support it. I pray I don’t ever come across such again.
