Good day house. I started this PR journey a year and half ago but my profile has been closed after a year. I want to know if I get a globally recognized certification like PMP cos I am an engineer and I’m presently taking French class, what will be my chance(s) in the pool. Thanks |

Hello house, I'm new here! I got the result of my TCF Canada this week. NCLC 8. I'm good to go! I started learning French with Duolingo 2 years ago but I finally joined Alliance Francaise in OCT 2024 , I spent a little over a year getting from A1.1 - B2.4 I had to quit my job to focus on it. I have my CELPIP, TCF. I'm still feeling euphoric, getting a reference that ties into an NOC is getting a little tricky. I have written to the HR at my former firm. Thank you house I just wanted to introduce myself. I look forward to sharing my journey and learning how to navigate mine through contributions here. Merci à tous. |

I'm 39 years old. Written ielts and got band 7. I have a masters degree in public health. I also have a three year diploma in nursing from a nursing school and have a practicing license in Nigeria. Based on this what are my chances of going through the health route in the express entry. I have three years experience working as a nurse and more than 10 years experience working as a nurse assistant. I qualify as a licensed practical nurse in Canada |

Hi All, Please I am a 42 year single father with a son living in Lagos. What is the best strategy for me for Canadian immigration? Job, school or express entry (marraige?) Should i just take IELTS first adn enter provincial pool? I've been following the theread for a while and just curious the best way to start things out. Any advice would be greatly appreciated Thank you so much |

Would there be any implications for submitting a reference letter that did not have an exact start and end date for period of work? Ie month/year instead of day/month/year. I just noticed that one of my submitted references is like that and I'm panicking. |
| Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by studyhub: 9:45pm On Jan 17 |
jonjazzy123:At 42, you'd need a lot for express entry. But first, Take IELTS, learn French and also take TEF. If you have just a single degree, take short certification exam to add a second certificate. Calculate your CRS score to know how you'd rank in the pool. Good luck! |

studyhub:In all honesty, this might be a huge burden for a 42 year old. I think people need to start looking outside of Canada as it stands. New Zealand also has a similar pathway to permanent residency like Canada. Canada is becoming tough day by day |

mbok:You qualify as RN if you process your registration Alberta. You don't need NNAS too. You qualify for EE. Make sure your IELTS is General. With your profile, you are so qualified. They only need 3 years of experience. |

Hi all, I’m a bit worried cos I went through the chats here. I’m a lawyer by education but not practicing (I haven’t been able to get a job). I have been working as an economics teacher for about 3 years now in a secondary school and I applied for PR. I got ITA and I have submitted my application and waiting for eligibility. I read here that applicants without Education degrees won’t be eligible and as such the NOC should be teaching assistant the rather than teacher? Pls how true is this? And if true, can I rectify this by asking for a change of NOC?

Good morning guys, Please I need advice. I am a registered nurse with less than 1 year experience and with only Bachelor's degree. My husband has 2 years experience, Masters degree in engineering. I have been applying for jobs and everything looks positive. However, our CRS score prediction is not up to 400 if both of us writes ielts. FYI: I have the chances of getting a job that comes with PNP. 1) Can my husband be the primary applicant, and if I get PNP would that cover both my husband and I? Or 2) Can I apply as primary applicant even with less than 1 year experience or 3) I should focus on PNP non-express entry. (It takes 18months for BC PNP from what I heard) How true is that Thank you |

Good morning; Pls can someone guide me on the best route for me. I’m an experienced banker, 30 years old but will be 31 this year, degree holder in Electronic Engineering. What’s the best for me to leave this country. Apologies if I’m dragging anyone back |
| Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by studyhub: 9:33am On Jan 23 |
Churock:Take a short certification exam to add a second certificate to your degree to boost your CRS score. Take the English language test and join the express entry pool. You can learn French to add a second language if you can. |

Please i have a sibling working personal support worker . She is hoping to get ITA using her work experience NOC 33102 . I am hearing confliting info that she needs to have 6 months full time experience another person said Full time One year experience. I dint see the number of year or minths on the NOC website . please whats the correct info in regards to this . Please question 2 Also so someone working two JOBS . The Health care is of course full time and primary NOC and I know a reference letter is a compulsory requirement wld they also need to tender reference letter for their other part time or contracts job as well or they can just put that in their history. Is any form of evidence needed to be aubmitted post ITA for all the jobs thats in the history . Thirdly, they started working Last year November in this health care primary NOC at a hospital. I told them they cant create express entry profile yet until they have completed 6 minths work experience . I hope i am right i dont want to mislead them . Thanks so much for your input as I await |

Please can I ask someone that has been working for three years now Two years and half in IT and going to 6 months in health care . when creeting her expeess entry she choose theee year work experience . However the NOC which will give her ITA she has used just 6 minths . There has been arguement that she isnt suppose to ise her total years of working as work experience that she is auppose to just say 6 minths because the NOC to give her ITA she has worked just 6 months? How true is this Please . |

Hello, I need thoughts on this please I am in the pool with just almost 2 years foreign work experience in one NOC. I want to confirm that I can claim points for another job in a different NOC. Also, if the business has closed, how can I prove my work experience? I have offer letters, I can get bank statements and maybe the payslips for the period. *Edit- I proceeded to add my other job experience in a different NOC and my points have increased. I'm unsure about being able to get a reference letter for this job. What are the other alternatives to prove my work experience? |

Good morning I have a 3 years paid work experience in healthcare care but have been freelancing for some years now. Does the 3 years count in EE? |
| Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by studyhub: 1:41pm On Jan 27 |
JenC:You need at least 6 months of continuous, full-time (or equivalent part-time) work experience in a single occupation listed under the healthcare category within the past 3 years. If your work experience is up to 6 months or more and within the last 3yrs (counting back from today), then you're good. Note that it has to be among the healthcare occupation listed under the category. |
