Well well well deserved!

They have a very solid team, and more so, they are enjoying the benefits of years of good governance and investment in infrastructure.

Another country to look out for is Senegal. Those guys are doing really well in the area of human and infrastructural development.

Now that they have started oil and gas exploration, expect them to be among the first 5 African economies within the next decade.
The two nations have had a long time of sustainable stability that has positively affected their country's fortune..

Morroco is a monarchy that spans decades. Senegal is a democracy that has never been interrupted for once since independence. Actually the only democracy in West Africa that has not witnessed coups, assassinations, wars and political turmoils like her neighbours. Obviously the stability in their respective politics has helped to provide the conducive space for the different governments to achieve set goals across board.

Agreed some favoritism is in play but Hakimi and the U20 guys deserves the Awards.

That said, the Morrocan Team that defeated the Super Eagles are a good Team no doubt and all good Team can be beaten by any other good Team without any help from the Officials.

The Eagles were psychologically beaten in that match up with needless and fraudulent foul calls by that Charlie.

Nevertheless, attention is on Morroco presently because they have spent money to upgrade their facilities unlike the rest of the African continent.

Can you imagine that it is only the Goodswill Akpabio stadium that can host a FIFA grade Football Match in Nigeria while Morroco boast of at least 4 or even more?

People naturally move towards wealth and opulence, that's why CAF seems to be all over them presently.

That phase will pass too.
The Morrocans want to host the world cup. I think the caf president and his excos are helping them to be in a position to achieve that. Makes sense taking into consideration the massive investment made to upgrade facilities in the country .

Lagos GDP alone is higher than the entire Morocco. Yet you're seeing Morocco as a wealthy nation.

Just imagine how Nigeria would have been if we didn't have criminals and looters as our leaders. We would have ruled Africa.
Lagos GDP is higher , what about only Lagos population being higher than the entire Morocco.
This is a state only.

Was it the Ghana referee that stops us from it attacking or scoring our penalties?
How many of your attacking attempts were not called a foul by the referee?

Nigerian national team made an agreement with Morocco CAF and FIFA to lose the game with morroco for world cup ticket
That's why kanu is celebrating with them

Exactly.

They have their eyes set on Co-Hosting with Spain for the 2034 World Cup and they have invested massively in that direction.

Like you pointed out, CAF is only helping them and not necessarily a favouritism thing.

but the referee was hostile to the players of super eagles, which can demoralize them from attacking or playing effectively, because of the fear of giving them cards...
Why are they professionals to start with? To be a professional entails psychological stability and rising against all odds.

Playing over 70mins half field against one's opponent and not winning is proper madness. It shows that they got no striker/attacker. All goals they scored were generally by change

No one is denying Morocco’s progress. Hakimi and the U-20 team deserved recognition. But ignoring top-class performances from Nigerian players like Victor Osimhen, Asisat Oshoala, and Chiamaka Nnadozie raises concerns. CAF must ensure fairness, balance, and transparency in its awards process.
No the gap between Nigeria and Morocco now is very slim so slim tha it is insignificant.
Nigeria's current GDP is 188 billion
While Morocco is 165 billion.

So Lagos is not even in the maps

APC remains the worst thing that happened to Nigeria.

CAF is very corrupt, it's possible they will let Morocco win.

Lagos GDP isn’t higher than Morocco. Morocco is slightly higher. But I agree with you that Nigeria would have been better if our economy was better managed. Tinubu is the one controlling the economy of Lagos. Over 100 billion dollars economy. That man used Lagos wealth for his ambition Lol

I suspect we will see the same treatment against Senegal in the final match.

I think we complain too much as a country. Too much whining and expecting that we deserve everything without working for it.

A game that we had just 2 shots on target!

Other countries are quietly developing, we are here forming giant of Africa.

Make una dey try travel oooooo. Just leave Nigeria once once and explore other countries.
Sir I don't think they are talking about shot on target only, and if refree is against you there is no way you will have shot on target 😂.
But Senegal will beat Morocco sha.
About infrastructure 🤧🤧, if na Infrastructure them they use play ball then China and America should be competing for number one on Fifa ranking 😓 and Brazil won't win Five world cup.
Forget infrastructure , Football is all about PURE-TALENT and little training.
You can use Messi and Ronaldo as example.

Morocco takes over CAF and African football

See the awards CAF gave to Morocco
Achraf Hakimi 🇲🇦 – Player of the Year
Ghizlane Chebbak 🇲🇦 – Women’s Player of the Year
Yassine Bounou 🇲🇦 – Goalkeeper of the Year
Othmane Maamma 🇲🇦 – Young Player of the Year
Doha El Madani 🇲🇦 – Women’s Young Player of the Year
Sanaâ Mossy 🇲🇦 – Women’s Interclub Player of the Year
Lamia Boumehdi 🇲🇦 – Women’s Coach of the Year
AS FAR 🇲🇦 – Women’s Club of the Year
Morocco U-20 🇲🇦 – Men’s National Team of the Year

At this point, CAF should stop pretending and just rename itself MAROCCAF.

Every major award, one direction. No balance. No shame. No explanation. Just Morocco, Morocco, Morocco — as if the rest of Africa didn’t play football this year.

The only thing left now is for CAF to try and hand Morocco the AFCON trophy on Sunday, and that would be the final insult. African football must not be reduced to a one-country project.

Let it be clear: we are watching.
The final between Morocco 🇲🇦 and Senegal 🇸🇳 must be FAIR — no refereeing gymnastics, no backstage manipulation, no “host advantage” drama.

African football deserves integrity, not favoritism.
CAF must choose: credibility or complete disgrace.
the only deserving Award is the men's under 20 because they won the world cup and Hakimi who won Champions league.
they worth it, can ur country host the tournament the way they did ? See quality stadiums , there team was very good. The first African team to make the semi final of a world cup beating cr7s Portugal along the line, the team has been together for long with one coach, did u hear that there team is not training cos there FA never pay them? Morocco really improved on there football world on all ramifications now they are reaping the fruit of there work for years u dey one corner dey vex. MOROCCO DESERVES IT!

Alright agreed, and the penalty shoot out?
The super eagles played a team/chain game in this current afcon, and that was what gave them their major wins..the aim of the officiating referees was to break that chain l,so that they can't flow well with the balls.. penalty is a game of luck, and also has its own trauma, even if you can play the best of penalty. couple with the fact that they were already traumatized from the onset of the game..

They are human and not robot, this kind of trauma can happen to anybody, and you will be dealt with it for long, until you just stop seeing that factor traumatizing you, before you can calm down..
In this case the referee (terror)was there with them all through, even after the mid breaks they had..

The only way you can quickly overcome trauma is when you have the ability/grace to challenging or keep challenging it instantly, without repercussions to you..
Re: Morocco Takes Over CAF And African Football by Backtodfusure: 3:03pm On Jan 18
I prefer that the African competitions are hosted by African countries.

I did not even bother to watch and never watch when it is hosted by Arabs.

The day we realize ourselves as Africans, we will realign our relationships across the globe and especially with these Arabs and allow them compete in sports with their kin in the middle east.

All this thing you explain here have nothing to do with anything.
Nigeria lost also in the penalty shoot out here in Lagos in 2000 nations cup final, what was the reason too.

Absolutely, the hunger for victory was lacking in the Nigerian team. Morocco approached the match with a warrior's mindset. They came for war. They took no prisoners. They only executed them.

Morocco are currently setting the pace for African football, no doubt. But CAF must ensure that dominance never looks like preference, because perception can be as powerful as reality in football governance.
Just the other day, their sports ministry got a whopping 20 Billion Dollars for Sports development.

The money dey and it's well spended. grin grin
At least we no fit deny that.
