This front page thread emphasise what I was saying the other day about Morocco and CAF.... Every award is Morocco. Every hosting right, Morocco.

Anybody thinking Senegal can win tonight is dreaming. CAF will do everything possible to hand Morocco the trophy.

The last time a host country lost AFCON final was 2000 AFCON that Nigeria lost to Cameroon in Lagos. Ever since then, any host country that makes final always win. The trend will continue tonight.

N.B: I am supporting Senegal to win, but all indications point to a "MOROCCAF" triumph.
Opponents are just bitter Morocco is dominating Africa football. None of those awards are even debatable. Hakimi is certainly the African player of the year, Morocco under 20 won the world cup, Yaccine Bonnou was nominated for the fifa best goalkeeper award, the Moroccan that won women player of the year made fifpro world 11( the 2nd African ever), As Far won the CAF women champions league and their coach won coach of the year. Nothing controversy in them sweeping up all those awards maybe except that women coach of the year.

And all the hosting rights recently in all competitions in Africa? No other country can host tournaments in Africa anymore I guess.

3× back to back to back WAFCON is insane.
2021 U17
2023 U23
2030 WC

Etc etc etc..

They have the infrastructure and experience of hosting tournaments. They have even hosted the club world cup twice so picking them as host is easy. For the WAFCON no other country submitted bid, just Morocco did for the last two edition. The World cup doesn't fall under CAF jurisdiction.

What of the morrocan coach of tp mazembe that won female coach of the year? I hear they didn't lift any trophy.

I thought the coach of As Far won that award. Is she not the Moroccan coach?

Lamdia Boumehdi won it, ahead of Super Falcons coach.

I think they didn't want to give the award to a man.

Well this award is definitely debatable. If they didn't want to give it to a man, they shouldn't have nominated a man in the first place.

Unlimited22, Bluemann and Ibime is Jacquet any better than what we already have in Acheampong to warrant the club paying a huge sum for his signing? Can't Acheampong play the position and any other academy CB pending the return of Colwill and Sarr who has been brilliant in AFCON

I don't know the fella but Mamadou Sarr would have slotted in with no problems

Don't trust spending big on French league given our recent experience. I rather buy in the £10-£20m range from that league and see what comes good

We have been unsuccessful with any center back we have gotten from that league but these guys keep going back grin

Kanu that most people drags mostly played as a SS or attacking midfielder for the SE not as a traditional No 9.

Always linking play, dropping deep and creating chances rather than leading the line.

Egbon, sometimes I just laugh when I see some write ups. To whom it may concern, presently in Nigeria Kanu has no mate as far as Nigeria football is concerned.

Kanu Nwankwo was a huge blessing and beautiful historic legend

He still scored zero goals in all Major tournaments for Nigeria. No matter how you twist it that's still a shameful and poor return for such a legend.

It’s very clear the referee is biased against Senegal. CAF should be less obvious na

That 4:3:1:2 diamond formation really hindered us against Morocco. Senegal has the right approach. Pin back that devil Hakimi and Maza.

So we shouldn't be expecting goals from Akor Adams and Lookman?
