Senegal dey ball mehn! This was what I expected the Eagles to play against the Moroccans in the semi final. If we had attacked them the way we attacked Algeria with our dangerous attack, we would have won the game in regulation.
Some of u keep saying this. The moroccans have some of the best tacticians in the continent. They neautralized the center field that supplies ball to our attackers. It was deliberate and it worked. Once u take control of the mid field, it becomes hard to supply passes to ur frontmen. If u watched the game well, Morocco did one thing which was attack and fall back as quickly as posssible which made them to be two to three to tackle one super eagles player. This made it hard for any of our players to even see breathing space. Senegal must have studied this pathern. Give it to Morocco, they reached the semi final not by chance, them dey ball.

Senegal is playing better and deserve to win. Morocco is defending and hoping to use fast counter attack

Morocco is beatable ..I strongly believe id our coach made the right substitution Nigeria might have won . Ejuke or Chukueze coming on time to make runs and cross ball but coach brought in Moses Simon
Very sensible comment no be all those ones wey no sabi football dey shout say we only had 2 shots while people wey get 20 shots can't even score one goal

Great match. Same atmosphere as with Nigeria yet the Senegalese are playing and possessing the ball. As we can all see, crowd and atmosphere don’t win match though it only charges the players but does not win match. Nigeria can’t win a strong team and that’s truth. Algeria and Tunisia is strong o but in this competition they are not. Nigeria hardly win a strong team. The last time we did was in USA 94. Ever since then, we always lose to strong teams and then complain of ojoro thereafter.

We too dey overhype our players

We saw ejuke against congo, chukweze n simon against egypt...we already know their levels
But we saw Ejuke against Gabon .we saw Chukueze against Benin Republic providing assists . You can't use one game to assess a player . Osayi was highly critized here at the beginning of the tournament but the more he play he improves .

This game is very different from our game. No one want to be carded in our game because they’ll probably miss the final. Also, the officiating in this match is better than ours.

Most of u don't play football..... Did u see statements made by Senegal before this match... any referee will sit up ..even if intend to support Morroco.
Ref sit up or no sit up, did your super eagles even play like this. Why are you guys bringing referee issue as if it's the referee that made super eagles not to play

Don't mind nigerians.too much cho cho cho for football.Morocco reached the word cup semi final last edition. They became the only African team that have attain that feat.So football is not played by mouth.
That was 4 years ago, form and players have changed. They have scored a total of 8 goals in 7 matches, thats ov 0.5 GPG compared to nigeria with 16 goals (basically ov2 GPG). With that poor scoring record, if they qualify from the group stage they will be out by round of 16

Is Congo n Gabon on the same level?

What do you mean by one game. I ve been watching simon n chukweze since 2019....When it comes to matches that involves physicality, they struggle.

That's why our coach should have brought in winger like chukwueze to disrupt their plan. Since we don't have good dribbler like JJ in the midfield

To win tournament you must have plan B .
1994 AFCON Amuneke was on the bench throughout the tournament,he played final and score two goals
2013 Sunday MBA was the joker card
In 2023 and 2025 the coaches do not want to try another player unless established

Well said , very simple but coach was cautious and no Plan B . His plan B is Moses Simon

. What's special about the Morrocan team that could not score a single goal.. despite all the advantages.. even with referee support... we have 2 shots at target.. they have 5 shots at target... penalty kick is anyone's game... Una badmouth to much once naija loses a match

They are not coming out against us as they do today. They are more defending conscious with us than they do with Senegal.

If they come out seriously like this against us, we would have wipe them silly. They always backtracked and choke their mid field whenever we had balls to prevent us from attacking because that's where we orchestrated many of goal courtesy of Iwobi.

I pray Senegal win this match, Moroccanare not rock solid as really champ just being favoured by home and referee advantage

If only Naija played Morocco like this instead of just sitting back and letting Morocco attack and attack them 🤧😢
We do better when no one is watching us. E for better may Cameroon knockout Morocco for us.

The SFs would have had less pressure from the home crowd

Bro, they outshot us 16-2. They were the better aide but not by much.

My own frustration is we no really play ball at all.

I thought so too.

It's like they were more afraid of SE attackers and midfielders.

Senegal is doing well, but morocco might edge it if possible.
Dont mind Nigerians. Morocco is 11th best team on the globe and they have remained top since 2022 world cup. That is not a mistake. They are solid team. The way they fall back to mark their opponent and how the attack is commendable.
Re: Morocco Vs Senegal: AFCON 2025 Finals (0 - 1) On 18th January 2026 by Manfromlasvegas(m): 9:09pm On Jan 18
This Senegal's first half performance is impressing upon me the distasteful feeling that we were incredibly sh*t against Morocco. In fact I am becoming firmly convinced that our failure was largely tactical; guys as much as I love our coach, responsibility for our non-performance as a credible opposition against Morocco, I have become convinced, lies squarely with Chelle.

Notice in this match that the Moroccan full backs that terrorised us, have been strangely quiet today. Reason: Senegal has two dangerous wingers keeping them seriously preoccupied. If Nigeria had put two good wingers against them, it would have limited their attacking forays, compromised their compact defensive shape since the field of play would be stretched dangerously wide, forcing them to double think every step.

Morocco are an incompetent attacking unit. Brahimi has been largely nullified against competent opposition. Most of their attacks now originate from their full backs. By ceding the wings, and offering no useful deterrent, we allowed them to pepper our defence continuously without distorting very much their defensive organisation.
