An embarrassing five minutes of officiating which saw Senegal's goal ruled out for a soft foul and then Morocco are awarded a penalty at the other end, almost entirely based on Brahim throwing a tantrum and pressure from the home fans and home dugout

That penalty was a light penalty because there was a minimal contact.

If the Super Eagles had played like this, they would have had a case.

But they let the Moroccans outplay them.

Senegal has a strong case. How can a referee award such a soft penalty kick late in such a high profile game.

For some reason, referee Jean-Jacques Ndala has a big smile plastered across his face. Given his conduct in the closing stages of this final, I don't think he is in any position to be smiling.

The penalty incident aside, his decision to prematurely blow his whistle before Senegal scored was a horrendous decision. Simply put, the referee has ruined a great final at the end of a brilliant tournament

While the officiating from the beginning of the tournament might have somewhat favour Moroccan. This is a clear penalty truth be told.
