When good news hit the headlines, they are regarded as banal or simply routine by some unpatriotic Nigerians. But, if it's a bad news, they go acrobatic and say "don't let Nigeria happen to you o". I repeat for the umpteenth time, Nigeria is a blessed country inhabited by bad leaders and unpatriotic citizens. We all need a total reorientation! We need to work on our mindset! We need a circumcision of the heart! @hotseat |

MarketDispatch:Smh. It is obvious that you don’t know that there are Nigerian companies using loans from FG to fund investments in China. This is why you need to quit social media idleness and read serious business intelligence reports. This is why most Nigerian leaders don't take you serious. I am not sure that you even know that China is sitting on $1.2 Trillion dollars surplus that makes even the western countries to run to China. Canadian PM was there last week and Trump is even begging China to come invest in US. Ignorance is not bliss o |

The Saudis left because they know the funds will be embezzled. Imagine demanding $30m to allow ground breaking activities that will bring development and jobs to your region. |

This is the very simple reason they are call bitter and leaf people. If na fulani bandit wrote this comment, I for understand. But those that hate the country so much that the only news they cheer is the bad ones, God is watching you. omoredia: |

helinues:Because the president chose there for it. Sherrif is not even claiming any part in the project, so why are you trying to force a false narrative? In all the speeches he has given not once has he mentioned the project. I live in Delta State, in osubi same town sheriff is from. Not one of his aide or PA has associated him to this project, but yet you from far away seem to know the doings of the governor better than the people close to him. It's truly wonderful. |

FreeStuffsNG:Please explain this more, I even wonder why an indigenous company can't handle the project, probably due to its scale tho. So much for NCDMB and local content. Anyways,I hope they work with indigenous firms professionally to execute it. |

helinues:I think you should look at the mirror and ask yourself how you reason. It's obvious your knowledge of how Nigeria or any nations politics works comes from drunk discussions in poorly constructed beer parlors after a long day of frustration. What constitutional authority or privilege does the state government have in a federal government project? The Lagos calabar costal road passes through so many states, have you seen any of them attached themselves to it? There are federal government owned lands in every state, go to your local government office and request to view one. The federal government doesn't need any permission or involvement of a state government to embark on a federal government project. You best educate yourself on the constitution, and also learn the roles of that every level of public office plays and the limit to their constitutional power. |

We go to schools and graduate every year, yet when it's time for mega projects, we seek expatriates. No be juju be that? |

Mosco100:Some things aren't taught in schools—they are protected intellectual property. Take China: despite their talented engineers, they still had to learn high-speed rail technology from Japan. Sometimes, you have to be willing to sit down and learn to truly make progress. |

FreeStuffsNG:The Ijaws should let this project which is right in Itsekiriland (based on Supreme Court rulings) get completed and be used for the benefit of all. A section of the Ijaws were instrumental in disrupting the project inauguration and construction when Goodluck Jonathan was the President and he had to abort his visit to Delta State for the commisioning. That chickening out by Goodluck Jonathan in 2014 made him look like a sectional President when he should have simply used Military force to go to Delta State and damned the consequences. Period. |

Who is going to pay back this "investment" when it comes due. Generational debt leads to slavery. I stand by my prediction that there will Chinese troops in majority of African countries 50 years from now. Slavery under the Chinese will be significantly worse vs part 1 under Europeans. |

Mosco100:Our schools teach outdated theories and aren't up-to-date with the latest engineering techniques and developments. See Hilda Bachi with her attempt to cook the world's largest pot of jollof rice. The pot collapsed because the Nigerian engineers/welders and fabricators failed to take a number of parameters into account. And that's something as minor as constructing a pot to carry a known quantity of rice. |

1144AK:I'm saying the same thing with you. Aren't the graduates I'm talking about the ones who are supposed to learn the tech know how's? So what exactly have we been doing for over 60 years that until now expatriates must be involved in every big project, now just a few but almost every big project. We deserve some autonomy in the sector. |
