That fairplsy award was wrongly given...

To be fair, that is an off the pitch antic, same as shining laser lights.

Diaz wouldn't let play restart and should have been red carded for the way he was disturbing the ref until VAR called him over.

Thankfully karma gave him a lovely peck on the cheek.

That's why he did that very slow style like a pass. Lastly, they are not the Refs officiating the game and ofc home advantage as a host nation is always there

And you haven't seen a Goalkeeper slip and fumbled a routine pass/ball on Target?

I play Football (not professionally though) and I have watched Football since the 1978 World Cup, place me on that spot and 100 out of a 100 times, I will get Tow Z if that was my intention.

Diaz at his level should get Row Z easily.

Who told you. Haven't you seen worse penalties ending up at the back of the net? He thought the keeper will dive right, put the ball at the right and still afraid to kick it far into the left so that the break won't go out...... He was confused.

yes the team hardly engage in on field fracas despite being the host, they were a worthy host, on field the team showed sportsmanship, you may have your reservations about the officiating even if that were true, that is the Moroccan fa problem, you can’t take away the on field sportsmanship from them.

Any attempt towards goal is deliberate, it was a misplaced panenka pure and simple.

He didn't even have to blast it to row Z, just kick it towards the sidelines, simple.

In fact, he could have just tapped it forward so the ball came to a stop less than 3 yards from the penalty spot and his teammates retreated for the keeper to pick up.

People should let the guy recover from a tumultuous event in his life.

he made it seem like they cheated to be in the finals, yes officiating might have been poor but there is no team they played that was more deserving of victory than the morrocans. They didn’t get to the finals through cheating they got there because they deserved to, if they had won they would have earned it too

this isn’t about when we started watching football at the finals the penalty awarded to Morocco was justified even the Senegal goal that was disallowed was also justified, against Nigeria the major error was the yellow card given to bassey, officiating was not great tournament wise this isn’t even about Morocco, Nigeria against Algeria a Nigerian goal was disallowed, throughout the tournament there were errors, so this isn’t just a Morocco thing

Morocco were the worst team in the tournament . They were highly favored by the refs.
Though they had a good game , they were a good team.

The tournament was marred by poor and biased officiating. And tomorrow we Africans will be yelling why cant FIFA use African referees for so and so ? Why would FIFA do that when our referees are corrupt, lack integrity , lack the willpower to do their jobs right without fear or favour?
Dear CAF, for your info, going forward, if Nigeria is involved in any CAF-based tournament, never you use any of the referees from these two countries to officiate our matches
1. Ghana
2. South Africa
Why? Because they always see us as rivals and enemies.

What qualifies Morocco for the fair play award?

Perhaps, mopping all the tickets so that opposing teams will not have access.

Perhaps, having people pick opposition goalkeepers towels.

Perhaps, having VAR not intervening when an opponent scored a goal disallowed in the final.

All in all, I am happy for the show of shame in the final. At least, next AFCON, all eyes will be on them.
