An elderly woman saw today removing her roof zincs by herself today in makoko.

Set aside Tribalism, I want to ask this very question who do this kind juju , I mean the native doctor, herbalist that bewitched Nigerians to the extent even if they are dying they will rather remain silence than to voice out, a country blessed with human and natural resources but find it very hard to develop like others, how can government displaced over 2 million of her citizens without proper rehabilitation, this is the worst of it.. anyone that vote for APC in 2027 must be arrested and send to psychiatric hospital for mental evaluation, how long are we going to continue like ..this suffering and smiling when is it going to end , 😭

Oga, stfu!

Makoko has always been an environmental hazard waiting to happen.

NO matter how much the government tries to do good by anyone, people like you are the first to shout blue murder.... Simply because your candidate lost...

Did people in Makoko tell you that they didn't know that they were there illegally?

No displacement has ever been easy for any body irrespective of tribe or religion but the truth is each and every one there knew they were on borrowed time!

You're talking about not voting for APC

Is it about the party?

Are states being run by other parties in Nigeria better than those being run by APC?

Before Tinubu and his goons in APC brought this tribal sentiments, people had always talked about Makoko. How you reduced it to a candidate losing is a cancer you are not ready to look at its tumor yet..

When they wrote about Makoko here on Nairaland in 2010, was it about a candidate losinghuh

If this is where I'm thinking, I always feel bad looking at it whenever I am in Nigeria.
One time, I just landed from Paris, and was being driven to the hotel. On the bus were some white guys with whom I flew in. As soon as we were on third mainland bridge heading towards Victoria Island, they all whipped out there cameras and started taking pictures. I was so ashamed I slumped low into my seat.

I think the government needs to do sumtin about that place. It is an eyesore. Either they redo it and make it more attractive, or they drive everyone out of there. It is both a health harzard and a national embarassment.

I feel sorry for the old woman, but it is not by force to live in Lagos. Makoko is an eyesore.
