I Entered A MOLUE After Over 20 Years (pics, Video) by hedonister(op): 11:17am On Jan 17
Over a week ago, I opened a thread where I was asking about the fate of Molue in Lagos and where I could find them.

https://www.nairaland.com/8594370/there-still-molue-lagos

I went to Bolade in Oshodi and found a lot of Molues and I decided to take one and have an experience of it after over 2 decades.

Here is the video:

Still surprised seeing molue plying the Oshodi - Agege - Sangoa Ota axis. Seems Bolekaja has faded out completely now.

This brings back some old memories. See molue, see noise, see crowd. You go run enter, you go still run to alight. Such is not the kind of life to relive again. Bye bye to rederede..

Do you know some things were gradually phasing out during the PDP era as they stayed longer?

Now I am not here to say PDP was excellent in governance, but if you look at the trajectory on how development was going, you will notice somethings were gradually fading out due to development, e.g:

1. Molues - At Jonathan's time, Molues were virtually almost gone, people were no longer patronizing them as much.

2. Ice Water - Ice water they usually tie in nylons were completely phased out under PDP, why? people stopped patronizing them and Dr Dora of NAFDAC did a good work under PDP sensitizing people on the dangers of patronizing it.

3. Better Pass Generator - Gradual reduction of the number people using the gen under PDP, though people still used it but the numbers were dropping .

Now fast forward to APC era and gradually these things started coming back and now under Tinubu, though I still commend Buhari to some extent because he was able to sustain part of the phasing out of these things till Tinubu got in.

This isn't a real Molue at all.

It is not packed, people are not standing up preaching about foreign gods or selling one drug that can fix all ailments in the world.

Na fake Molue bí dis oga.

What kind of memories are you talking about? When the world is moving very fast and furious.

I hope you are not too blind to read "bye bye to rederede" in the comment you quoted?

The Gen Z's can't relate to this at all, except they've got old people to tell them stories about this.

Molues don’t exist again? Since when? It’s good news. Life must be improving for the common man.

The last time I entered Molue I was still a kid, that should be around 1999.

These days it's hard seeing molue.

Tinubu is bringing them back, Molues reigned under his administration as governor throughout his tenure.
Tinubu introduced what they called City Bus into Lagos. White long buses. Go and ask those who are were in Lagos then cos you obviously were breaking palm kernel in the village.

Every new administration, people like you will always complain about it and prefer the previous ones.

When Tinubu leaves, you will till complain that you prefer him to his successor.

Molue! cheesy

The only route you can still find them in Lagos, I think, should be Iyana Ipaja to Bolade (Oshodi). It's very rare to see a molue in Lagos nowadays.

Still very much available but fading now. The reduction of the BRT bus number on the lagos road has brought a few of them back again. Sanwoolu is an error in lagos. I wish we could have the likes of ambode and fashola back.

Regardless of who succeeds Sanwoolu, he must be probed. Everywhere you go in lagos now is a garbage dumpsite. Hardly would you wind down your window on a dual carriage way and you'd not cover your nose, due to the heaps of garbage that have listened the culverts. That's the consequences of godfatherism in every setting though. Seyi Makinde is performing as if he's in the ruling apc while the apc governors are performing as if they're in the opposition.

Let me ask what did GEJ regime eradicate molue or I better pass my neuigbour gen cos there was no light. gej was not lagos governor so how did he eradicate molue? As for the ice water I don't know much about that.

Befoe Tinubu became Lagos governor I was already living in Lagos and was even in secondary school, so abeg don't come and try to re-write history for me, Molues reigned under Tinubu till he finsished, It was Fashola who started phasing them out, Tinubu still remains the worst governor of Lagos since 1999...

If you don;t know how an economy works you just say, the more economy gets better, the standard of living of the citizens improve, so naturally human beings tend to drop somethings and go fo a higher standard...

For you not to know ice water then you must be a gen-z...
