President Bola Tinubu conferred the renowned entrepreneur and philanthropist Sir Gilbert Chagoury with the honourary title of Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON).

Congratulations to my role model, dear friend and mentor, Ambassador Gilbert Chagoury, on the well deserved GCON honour conferred by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Rewarding his corrupt partner who worked with Abacha to transfer most of the looted funds the country is still recovering till date with the highest honor Nigeria gives to anybody, GCON honor is equivalent to the vice-president's honor, in fact military heads of states were all GCON.

Even Abacha did not honor the man with such a title, so one can imagine the jobs he may have done for Tinubu to honor him with the highest title in Nigeria.

Rewarding someone for looting the country, Well, when a thief becomes king his fellows thieves become honorable thieves to the throne.

I do not know much about the hierarchy of leadership in Nigeria.. But awarding a civilian GCON does not so sound well to me
