Yh for me it's still useable, I just can't download with it. I'm still able browse decently and also watch videos on multiple devices at 720/1080p most of the times and lowest on 480p. And truthfully that's mostly what I do with the service

I was just mostly worried that when I do want to download something I won't be able to and also because according to my info that's not what I paid for.

But it's all good, Hopefully it resets and that's the issue not something more

try moving your ODU around but as long as your previous subscription expired then your speed should be back to normal unless network is bad for your side now

I got in contact with another supervisor about 3 hours ago, She said that she will escalate it to Airtel HQ (Don't know how true that is) and I should wait 24 hours, that she assures me that it will work so I'm waiting on that now

in my own case i haven't resuscribe though i just get another physical sim run the sub on maybe try get someone that use physical sim borrow and try on your Router see if the problem still persist

You may need to find another router that will serve your purpose. The initial aim is to not go to the router page all the time. As an SE, you should know the principle of DRY.

ZTE was available here even as at December as they brought it after X17U, the worst ODU so far from user reviews. Not sure about now. The issue with getting the router for a third party is the KYC.

So the ZTE IDU, MF296A, does have a guest Wi-Fi feature. However, unlike ZTE MC801a, which I am currently using, it does not set the number of devices that can connect to the guest ssid. It does have the feature to set the number of hours a guest device can apparently access your network; which is good.

The two UIs are shown in the attached photos. MC801A is the second image.

TODAY - 19TH JANUARY 2026.

Barely 2 months into acquiring the AIRTEL ODU ZLT X17U, all working well and smooth until some devices stopped connecting to the Router 2.4Ghz Wifi.

I cannot connect to the 2.4Ghz wifi. Some recent devices connects to the 5Ghz wifi fine. I tried different troubleshooting, including re-setting, factory rebooting, but no luck.

I cannot connect to the the 2.4ghz network. Everything was fine about two months ago. Nothing have changed in the routers at home, work or friend house.

What I observed is that old devices will not connect. All latest devices that has the 5G band works perfectly.

If you're having the same issue, please let me know.

I'm not using it. It's basically the same as X17M in form factor. The major difference is that Airtel paired it with a different IDU.

The ODU itself looks very much like the ZLT X17M but with the bugs as reviews reveal.

I tried all the methods recommended but the best of all that has given me great result consistently since Saturday is that I chose 5g/NSA/4g as network mode then switch off 5G band lock, chose band 7,8 and 3 ,1 and 41 only.

Also I locked 4G cell 3500/172 and 5G Earcn 627264/221.

My download and uploads have remain largely same over time. See attached.

I'm glad you were able to figure it out.

Since you did band/cell locking, let me just point out that once in a while, you might have issues with the 4G band/cell especially. If that is the case, just restart and if it doesn't work, just remove the band/cell lock and allow the device to connect to any available band/cell until the issue is resolved and then you can return the lock.

It's not something that happens frequently but just to let you know.

Download this app from play store and login.

When you are logged in select access device.

Next select any device that you want to block.

In my case redmi note 10 pro and then toggle the switch off. The person may still be connected to the wifi but internet not available for the person.

First remove cell and band lock, go to system status and check for all available cells and bands in your location then lock only the cells with this highest numbers. The higher the cell number the closer the cell tower to you.

My case is cell 3400, 3250 and1876 and band 7,7 and 3. All I did was lock just cell 3400 and 3250. Don't lock bands and you're good.

He is right, for you to cell lock you will need the PCI and the EARFCN. But to band lock, just tick the band you want.

To add on what you have already stated, for you to get the details of all the mast closer to you, download cell mapper ,it's an android app.
make sure the sim of the network provider you are searching is already in your phone.

Yes they are not. He did not add the PCI because they shared the same value for that particular mast.
