Meanwhile the evil people who made it worst and their zombified supporters are painting a picture of deliverance for the larger proportion of suffering citizens of this nation with stats and achievements that are incongruent with realities.
Nine years comparison. Very funny. Even pre and post covid. Release worldwide comparison for this period.

Please let the person also do the experiment in dollars, eg. How much did eggs cost in the USA and how much do they cost now?

So called learned men will throw away almost 20 years of education and critical thinking because they hate a particular somebody.....pls we await the full details.
I was buying gas $3.99 four years ago, today it is $2.25 per gallon.
I have been pay the same amount for mortgage for the last 10 years
Egg was $6 per dozen last year, today it’s about $4 per dozen
Rice has been about $8 for 12lbs at Costco for over 5 years.
So what exactly are you insinuating?

After seeing and experiencing all dis things, some people will still asslick and give support to dis present administration.

Let's assume this administration dey pay you for asslicking dem, wat about the well-being of other Nigerians?

Is either Tinubu start to get things right or he should just vacate the presidency come 2027 cos we can continue like this.
How much was dollar in 16 compared to 26.

How much are you currently earning compared to 26.

Also remember to show us the chart of the price difference between 99 and that same 16.

Do 2000 vs 2016 also to see how much food was expensive in 2016. Then do 2000 vs 1990 to see how food was expensive in 2000
Check the margin and the negative progression of both years then you will find out the decline of APC is legendary and a total failure to say the least ..

No doubts about the decline but the margin is alarming...

How much was dollar to naira at at 2016 and how much is it now

So you expect to still get the same amount of what you bought 10yrs ago ?

Keep dreaming o

If you want to talk about APC government then you ask that how much was Naira to dollar before the coming of PDP and how much was it before they left power
Sirry but you seem to have come late...winner..?!

Who are the "they" you are referring to here? Same dish your APC served in 2015 and have been serving till date? Abi you don't want progress made to be evaluated and further progress made?

However, it has gotten worst. So what is your fear about it? When you want to do zombiesm, then do it with some degree of decorum and sense.
Some of you went to school for the sake of it and not to gain knowledge and understanding..

What do you expect when subsidy has been removedhuh?
Re: How Expensive Food Has Become In Nigeria: 2016 Vs 2025 by tiger28: 4:32pm On Jan 21
Hmmmmm……. You all forgot to add SUBSIDY REMOVALhuhhuh?

A policy that ALL the Presidential candidates AGREED to remove as it’ was gulping over 90 percent of our expenditurehuh

Now we know the REAL Value of our Naira which has been stable for an unprecedented long period of time now.

You also forgot about minimum wage increaseshuh

What about NELFUND that assisted MILLIONS of students with tuitionhuh

Have you heard of Workers not getting paid their salaries for years anymorehuh An issue that became NORMAL before subsidy removal. Now state governor have more money unlike before. …..pls check the governors budgets now, it’s so big, thanks to money saved by federal government with subsidy removal.

Only an ILLITERATE will not understand all these. OP is being disingenuous!!!

The OP will ONLY make sense to me IF Subsidy wasn’t REMOVED

Oga, stop being clever by half, and tell us what the prices were in 2016, simple

Imagine comparing mortgage and gas payments, knowing that one is practically fixed in nature and the other Nigerians were being subsidized for donkey years living fake life..... I mean it's crystal clear you people really think everyone needs to switch of their brains because we want criticse without being analytical.

Going back to eggs and using AI to try and have an unbiased discussion:

a dozen in Nigeria in 2016 was at worst $1.4

a dozen in Nigeria in 2026 is at worst $2.12

Notice the global co-relation.

Now use that 77k to buy egg at ₦250 per egg, and compare it with the number of eggs you can buy with 18k at ₦30 per egg.

Let me do it for you:

77,000/250 = 308 eggs
18,000/30 = 600 eggs

₦18,000 buying almost twice what your ₦77,000 is currently buying

Nigerians were living fake life and they did not die nor complain, e reach Tinubu turn, he introduced the authentic life that has turned the middle class into beggars.
You disagreed with the mortgage example, like it is not government policy that regulates and protects the 30 years fixed rate model. What is stopping APC from doing the same in Nigeria?

Which country in the world does not have one form of subsidy or another. In the use US, health, agricultural produce, housing for the elderly and indigent population etc are all subsidized . The only subsidy enjoyed by the common man in Nigeria, was the first thing this Administration looted. How has the subsidy removal translated to improve the life of the common man? Instead, what we see is a single individual with a convoy of over 100 exotic vehicles.
Since you are very good with analytics, now consider this too . . .
In 2016; the minimum wage in Nigeria was #30k which was $75 (at #400 to $1).
Fast forward to 2026 and despite inflation, even the #75k which is $51 (#1400 to $1) increased minimum wage by APC is very disgraceful due to their so called currency stabilization. It is the common workers that are being shortchanged and always at receiving end by the useless policy.

Continue to defend them while they shave your hair from behind.
