Yes. Stanbic and Meristem have ETFs.
Please any idea where it’s located on Stanbic app, I have been on it for a day or two and I can’t seem to find it maybe because I haven't invested in it yet

Most investors says it is difficult to liquidate Nigerian ETF. You can't sell them even when the prices are high. Its liquidity is not like that of foreign ETFs. Do your research properly before investing sha

That's an index ...more like trading an industry growth

To see available index search for etf just how you will search for any stock of a company

I don't have any recommendations but you can ask on the stock thread for recommendations and guidance

Above all do your due diligence also

Should stock recommendations on brokers' platforms be taken seriously? I see some stocks advise to sell.
It's at investors risk o.

Some of them are seasoned guys, but don't take anybody words easily. Do your personal research if you want to invest in a company's stock.

We at cardinal stone equity should see some green later this evening when our app update

Yes. Stanbic and Meristem have ETFs.
Vetiva too has an ETF that tracks the consumer goods sector. It did 100% YTD 2025. There are concerns over the liquidity of ETFs in Nigeria though. Only sophisticated investors know about it

Equity = Bearish. 10k+ loss today, still have 35k as profit thanks to yesterday earnings.
Fixed income funds = Bearish. 21/01/2026

January might be sluggish; this is the time to buy more units for better gains when the market is back on track.

Please, how does ' Fixed ' bearish look like?

Just checked and saw it on today's trading
Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 9:27pm On Jan 21
"Bearish" means today's rate dropped lower, which affects the NAV. It's a paper loss; once the rate gets higher, the NAV will get back on track. Some fixed income funds do not utilize NAV, while some do. Quantum Zenith and DLM do not use it; thus, I make normal earnings from them. However, the NAV is better in the long run. More money if the NAV goes up.

I see -2k+ , so, the NAV is affected but your capital is secured in Fixed.
Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody:
Yes, your capital is safe. However, in order to liquidate, the NAV must be high on that day. The NAV is low today; if I should sell it off, I will be at a loss. Attached below is the paper loss; once the NAV gets back on track, the paper loss will reset to 0.

You can view the NAV accurately using CardinalStone's website.

Great job, guys!

I’m glad to be here. I’ve learned a lot from the ongoing conversations.

I have two questions directed to @EquityM, @Beeron, and anyone else who can help:

1. I haven’t seen much discussion here about Dollar Mutual Funds, such as the Nigeria Eurobond Fund. Is this because they are not as profitable compared to Naira-denominated mutual funds like Fixed Income, Equity, and Money Market Funds?

2. @EquityM, please what is the CRS form on the CardinalStone sign-up application?
I understand it needs to be uploaded when a non-Nigerian residential address is provided and that it relates to income tax.
Is there any technical implication attached to it, or is it advisable to simply use one’s Nigerian address?

Thank you in advance for your responses.

CardinalStone has the fixed income dollar funds, which start with USD; you can pay in naira or USD. I was interested in doing it; however, since I am into the fixed income naira fund, I was not ready to subscribe to it, as the return is the same as with the naira income fund. I foresee USD devaluation in the future; nevertheless, it's a good investment, as you can earn more in USD. Use your Nigerian address to register on the website and insert your NIN for tax bla bla. Lastly, if you are interested in making an investment in foreign currency, you should do the SME (100m), as it comprises all the investment funds at large. (Euro, USD, Equity, TB, and others)

The guys at Afrinvest equity fund must be doing something right as they've only had 1 negative since the year began which is almost insignificant if you look at the percentage change in comparison with the greens.

Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 8:00am On Jan 22
You can't predict the market at an early stage; a good start does not mean it will keep going that way. Nevertheless, they are doing a great job.

Dollar Mutual funds doesn't pay enough returns in Nigeria compared to Naira mutual funds, infact that is why we have foreign portfolio investors come to Nigeria and invest in Naira investments will Naira, make gains and convert back to Dollar to pull out their investments

They profit from both investment gains and forex slippage.

Nigerians only do Dollar Mutual fund to hedge against Naira inflation even if they earn little interest on it.

Secondly, Euro bond isn't accessible to Nigerians, it can only be bought by foreign portfolio investors with foreign currency.

My Chief, Dollar devaluation is not happening anytime soon. Infact, if there was any President that has wanted the dollar to devalue in the past one year. It's Donald Trump because he so much wants a weaker dollar to attract investors to the U.S to compete with China, that was the idea behind all his TARIFFS wars, but did it work? Not as quite well, infact, the Naira only won against the dollar in 2025 after so many years, and do you know what we considered a win? A stable exchange rate not even dollar devaluation.

This is why dollar based MMF was sluggish for last year too.
