I woke up to read the statement by Reno Omokri on the Sujimoto scandal: https://www.nairaland.com/8603766/sujimoto-noticed-nobody-raised-ethnic Let's acknowledge that the Igbo people and the Enugu State Government chose the path of Law, not the path of Ethnic Bigotry, effectively setting a standard that Reno would likely use to lecture his critics. Dear Nigerians, I have said it before, and I will say it again. Truth is not bitter; it is only bitter to those who are used to the sugar of lies! Look at what is happening in Enugu. The Enugu State Government, led by a prudent Igbo man, Governor Peter Mbah, has recovered over ₦1.2 billion from a Yoruba man, Sujimoto. Now, I want you to pause and observe something very important. Did you see the people of Enugu or any Eastern part taking to the streets to burn Yoruba shops? No. Did you hear the Igbo people starting a campaign saying, "Do not do business with Westerners"? No. Did they label all Yoruba people as "betrayers" or "crooks" because of the alleged actions of one man? No. Instead, what did they do? They allowed the law to take its course. They used the EFCC. They followed due process. They treated Sujimoto not as a "Yoruba enemy," but simply as a suspect in a contractual dispute. This is the standard! But now, I must ask the hard question. If reverse was the case... If the Lagos State Government had recovered billions from an Innoson or a Cubana, would we have this same peace? Would the narrative remain on "Law and Order"? Or would the internet be on fire with accusations of "Ethnic Cleansing"? Would we not hear screams that "Yorubas hate Igbos"? You see, the people of Igbo extraction have shamed the agents of division. They have proven that you can prosecute a man from another tribe without hating his tribe. They have shown that business is business, and crime is crime. So, to my brothers and sisters who like to cry "Tribalism" every time Governor Sanwo-Olu enforces a building code or a traffic law in Lagos—Learn from Enugu! If the Igbos in the East can respect the law when it catches a Yoruba man, why can’t you respect the law when it catches an Igbo man in the West? Stop weaponizing ethnicity to hide criminality. The Enugu State Government did not look at Sujimoto’s tribal marks; they looked at the contract. That is how a civilized society works. I have shaken this table, and I hope those of you standing on the legs of hypocrisy do not fall off! #TableShaker |

Reno has been crying for something and has been adequately rewarded. I don't think anyone needs to be bothered on Reni's opinion on issues. A hungry man can easily be manipulated. I'm still waiting for the day when Tinubu and Atiku are to have issues with Reno as a player. |

CannibalEast: ![]() Respect our neigbours from the East. They are not tribalistic like ronuists. If such has been the case, the Lagos state government would have started breaking the shops and businesses of our neigbours.or started arresting their relatives. The internet ronuists would have sent a message to all SW RONUS not to do business with our neigbours |

An Igbo man is not tribalistic. He is not interested in spewing tribal hate; he is not an ethnic bigot. As the OP pointed out, if the reverse were the case, the news would have gone viral, driven by the usual suspects and turned into a tribal and ethnic divisive campaign. |

Please can you tell us why the likes of Obi and the fake madam due process always be the first to cry of hatred against Igbos when there is demolition in Lagos but they will suddenly lose their force when it happens in Anambra or Enugu? How many Yorubas do you hear complaining against Soludo or Mba when they embarked on demolition? Igbos and hypocrisy are like 5&6 |
