My wife has a Bachelors degree too... She will be a dependant.

We are looking at Portugal, or Finland , but we want where we can get jobs easily.

The sad thing about poverty in Nigeria is that it has in many ways worsened trust issues between the male and female gender.

In many european countries, a Phd student's family is classified as 'dependents' for the purposes of immigration

I returned because I had not resigned from my company in Nigeria at the time, and this was before the current government came into power. I never anticipated that the company would eventually exit Nigeria.
While I was studying in Finland, I continued to receive my basic salary throughout those years. I was also actively involved with the team, regularly joining meetings and contributing by handling minor tasks when needed.

My skills as a Senior Instrumentation and Control Technician were highly needed in the oil and gas sector. After graduation, I was even offered a full-time job, but I declined because I needed to return home. Honestly, if it were now, I wouldn’t have come back.
Now that you’re into real estate and education, I strongly advise you to learn a hands-on craft before relocating—something like electrical work, instrumentation and control, or plumbing. Do this, and you’ll thank me later

Wow, I honestly still don't get it. You could have resigned without coming back home. I strongly believe the offer you got in Finland is far better than the job you came back to in Nigeria.

Anywhere one chooses to go, just know that if you later need a 2nd passport, their language must not be too complex for you to getting it. Some countries the criteria might be writing a small test or being able to speak to some extent, so beware.

Also, you may start with one country then end up in another.

Always easier planning travel as a SINGLE in case you need to marry or do any other thing( legitly) to getting your papers.

Portuguese people are all over Canada competing with Indians for Uber Greece is so poor no one will employ you. OP do your research. European countries where there are jobs speak mostly French, German or Swiss. Dont carry your hard earned money to go and suffer

- Your cv
- Your credentials

- Screenshot from a dedicated German portal, showing that the university (not polytechnic) you attended in Nigeria or elsewhere, is approved by German government. It is when you register to a stage in it that you will be able to access the link to that portal.

- Statement of Purpose.
- Evidence to show that you have been attending interviews in Germany or an employment letter.

- Health insurance for a year.

- Proof of accommodation.
- Other documents that can show that you are outstanding in your area of specialization.
