It is always funny anytime I see young people bending while walking. Sometimes I just laugh and ask myself, “What exactly are we carrying?”
it’s not only the male gender that bends while walking. Females do it too. So this message is for everyone.

When we talk about good posture, it simply means learning how to walk properly without bending, sitting properly, and standing upright in a natural way. It’s not about acting proud or stiff. It’s about how you carry your body every day.

The funny thing is, most young people don’t even realize they bend. Phones have become part of our lives, we look down to text, scroll, and watch videos for hours. Then we sit for long periods, slouching on chairs, beds, or couches. Over time, the body adjusts to these habits, and bending becomes normal.

Good posture is more important than many people think. Most times it physical appearance like, how confident you look, how you breathe, and even how people respond to you. Someone who walks upright automatically looks more confident and alert, even without speaking. Your posture often speaks before you do.

There is also the health side of it. Constant bending can lead to back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, and body discomfort later in life. These problems don’t suddenly appear when you get old, they start from the habits you build while you’re young.
How to Maintain Good Posture

Maintaining a good posture is not complicated at all. We just need to starts with awareness and small daily efforts.

Be conscious of how you walk. Lift your head, look forward, and avoid bending your neck downward. Let your shoulders relax naturally instead of pushing them forward.

Sit properly: be it you’re in class, at work, or at home, sit with your back straight and your feet flat on the floor. Avoid slouching or lying awkwardly for long periods.

Reduce phone bending. Bring your phone up to eye level instead of bending your neck down to meet it. This small change makes a big difference.

Take breaks and stretch. If you sit for long hours, stand up, stretch, and move around from time to time. Your body needs movement.

Strengthen your body. Simple exercises like stretching, walking, or light workouts help keep your back and core strong, making it easier to maintain good posture.

At first, maintaining good posture may feel uncomfortable because your body is used to bending. But with consistency, it becomes natural.

You are young, and this is the best time to build good habits. Take care of your posture now, and your future self will thank you. Walking tall isn’t just about appearance, it’s about confidence, health, and self-respect.

Why should I fast walk when I’m not in a hurry? It doesn’t make sense to me

It is important to walk faster or brisk walk for a better health and overall wellness.lt is also optimum for weight loss.Study show that those who walk faster consistently, are likely to live healthier and longer than those that stroll or walk slower. Our health care departments are not informing us well of the health benefits, that is why many of us just walk slow.
