Madam you are stupid, you can speak good English but your points are baseless. Is that how it's done in the Nordic that have more cows than you do |

The lady has valid points; the problem here is that she is senselessly emotional. |

Na only Fulani get mission for this Nigeria bah, Madam Fulani, Listen, we are not ignorant of the devices of the devil. The best way to integrate your lots is for your lots to accept the modern way of cattle rearing and not this cave like practice. You go school for a reason, let that reason prevail, madam. |

ayoncox:She made a valid point by saying that this type of breed does not support isolating cows it's against the nature. While she suggests that Government can help with the breed that can be domesticated since many of those Fulanis may not be able to do so by themselves. |

P1PrinceKT:You are talking nonsense, which kind of breed does not support isolation, you are talking to an expert here. Any cow can survive for years even in a single plot of lands |

P1PrinceKT:Let me give you an instance, I have experimented with 6 cows all in a plot and they never had issues, I am not Fulani so what else do you want to say. I mean the Sokoto Gudali and Bunaji |

P1PrinceKT: please come back and continue your conversation. Ayoncox: please apologize to him and let the conversation go on like adults. You can disagree with a person's point without attacking the person behind it or throwing shades. You don’t have to make it personal to make your point. Mature conversations allow room for disagreement without hostility. Thank you 🍿 I was enjoying your exchange. |

SixSeven:This information is available online not by me but by someone else; Even Chief Obafemi Awolowo sought to resolve cattle-related challenges in Nigeria by advocating for a modern, industrial approach to livestock management rather than traditional open grazing, proposing to move cattle via refrigerated rail from the North to the South. As Premier of the Western Region in the 1950s and later as a federal opposition leader, he pushed for the establishment of large-scale, state-owned ranches to improve efficiency, hygiene, and regional economic ties. Here are the key components of how Awolowo intended to resolve cattle issues: Establishment of Modern Ranches: Awolowo's government invested in building cattle ranches and farms, such as those in the Western Region, to manage animal husbandry modernly and reduce the need for long-distance, hoof-based transportation. Refrigerated Rail Transport: To avoid the issues associated with transporting live cattle over long distances, Awolowo proposed using refrigerated trains to transport slaughtered meat (carcasses) from the Northern Region to southern cities like Lagos, Ibadan, and Port Harcourt. Importation of Better Breeds: He aimed to boost local livestock production by importing specialized breeds, particularly from places like Israel, to improve the quality of meat and dairy in the region. Regional Economic Integration: His plan was designed to create a symbiotic relationship where the North acted as a supplier of processed meat, benefiting both producers and consumers in the South. Focus on Agriculture and Infrastructure: Awolowo argued that the government should focus on providing infrastructure, such as proper transportation and agricultural support, to ensure a stable supply of food, including cattle products. These initiatives were designed to make livestock rearing a profitable, orderly business rather than a source of conflict. This is my own approach, the breeds we have are not bad as many think, the real issues are management issues, we can't be living in 18 century when we are in 21st. Cattle Rearing should be institutionalised as business that can be funded, same way it is with pigs, horses among others. People study about cattle Rearing as undergraduates. First grazing should be stopped but before then sensitisation should be done, then every tribe in Nigeria should be influenced into cattle Rearing so that it won't be just one tribe taking things into hands, and then graduates should be encouraged to go into cattle rearing. Whenever close source becomes open source stability comes and prosperity increase. We must destroy this cattle rearing hegemony that the Fulani has created which is primarily for expansionism. I am a Yoruba and according to my findings my maternal great grandfather was a cattle rearer among other livestocks. |

I sourced this for Cattle Rearing in Nordic Region: Cattle rearing in the Nordic countries (Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark) is characterized by a mix of high-tech, indoor, year-round housing and mandatory or traditional seasonal grazing, heavily influenced by strict animal welfare laws and a cold climate. While often marketed with images of green pastures, modern Nordic dairy farming is largely indoor-based, with cows kept in either "loose housing" or, in some cases, traditional tie-stalls. Key Aspects of Nordic Cattle Rearing: Mandatory Grazing (Summer): In Sweden, cows are legally required to graze outdoors for 2-4 months during the summer. However, this right often excludes young calves and bulls. Housing and Technology: Due to long, cold winters, cows spend the majority of their lives indoors. Modern farms frequently use "loose housing" systems, which allow cows more movement, or tie-stalls, which are being phased out but still exist (roughly 1/5 of Swedish dairy cows). Robotic milking systems are common. Calf Management: Calves are typically separated from their mothers shortly after birth (or within a few days). They are often raised in individual huts (or "igloos" for the first few weeks to months, often under roofed structures for protection from the elements, before being moved to group pens.Feeding: The diet is primarily grass-based (silage, hay), with significantly less imported soy used for feed compared to other regions. In Finland, for example, beef cattle feed is typically soy-free. Breeding and Production: Nordic red breeds (Finnish Ayrshire, Swedish Red, Danish Red) are common, valued for health, fertility, and ease of calving. High-yield cows can produce over 50 liters of milk per day. Welfare and Regulations: Sweden has some of the strictest animal welfare laws, requiring, for example, that all animals are stunned before slaughter. However, there is ongoing debate about the intensive nature of dairy farming and the rapid separation of calves from their mothers. Specifics by Country: Norway: Often relies on grass-based, small-scale farming, including traditional, often mountain-based summer grazing (called seter or sæter). Sweden: Emphasizes high welfare standards, but relies heavily on indoor, intensive, or semi-intensive farming. Finland/Denmark: Utilize high-tech,, often automated, farming systems. Challenges: Winter Farming: Ensuring the survival and health of cattle during long, freezing winters requires significant, stored winter fodder. Calf Welfare: The separation of calves and cows shortly after birth is a major point of debate, with research into "cow-calf contact" (CCC) systems to improve welfare. Economic Pressure: Small farms are struggling, leading to a shift toward larger operations. Cows, calves and bulls - Project 1882 False advertising. In milk commercials, cows and calves are often shown in green pastures. Cows in Sweden have the right to graze for 2-4 months per year. |

This is commendable by a Fulani woman defending her tribe,a job well done, talking like you have some level of introgression of bovine genes into your genome is fascinating, and taking other Nigerians for a ride is an ethnocentric pride and belief of being superior, that fulanis believe that they can do anyhow because of military influence is self propelled breakthroughs: is making you and your co-travellers not farther away from born to rule mentality of caliphate, why not turn your house to a grazing house.Your reasonings will make you a Fulani activitist. |

The laws of the land should be subject to the lifestyle and foraging customs of fulanis and cows. The Europeans spent time developing their thought processes hence the likes of Socrates, Aristotle, Plato, African should revisit its education system. It is intellectually traumatizing to listen to such absurdity from a fellow black. That a human is being led by cows and the cow knows what treatment it requires, when drugs and vets exists. She is pleased that a human being follows cows throughout his lifetime, like the cow isn’t meant to be food at the end of the day. If this was a conversation to retrain Fulani herders to become experts in agriculture this would’ve made sense, to lead scientific research in animal husbandries, to add their wealth of knowledge to sustain global food security but no, a special route should be created for them to walk after cows all their lives as a national heritage. This woman’s name should be gazetted, her children and grandchildren should steer clear of governance. |
