I made bionic boy a new “fur” coat 😆. I couldn’t have my baby sporting a black bag like he’s some orphan 😱.

Now his roots are protected from direct sunlight, and he’s nice and warm through these cold winter days.

I’ve been kissing BB daily since he was a seed. Now tell me if I’m crazy but has his leaf grown in to lips! I think my lips are imprinted on him 🥺🥺🥺.

If that isn’t love then I don’t know what is 😩😩😭😭😭

Bio-Boy is going through some changes. I don’t know what’s happening but I’m keeping a close eye on him. His leafs are wilting 🥀 and I don’t know if this is a natural process or if he’s unwell.
Also, his roots are drying up and breaking because I’m finding bits floating in his water. The good news is that he’s growing a new root from the seed so there’s still some growth. I don’t know how to feel. 😮‍💨

Ive given BB his first dose of liquid fertiliser. I diluted 2ml of the liquid fertiliser in 1L of water. I’m anxious about it because I don’t know how he’ll react to it. I leave him in the capable hands of God. 😮‍💨

I put stalks in water mid December, and now have some leaves.

No visible roots yet. The stem just swells and absorbs water, the shorter one much better than the tall one, which looks brown and unhealthy. I'm cutting off the dead part today in fact, hoping it might thrive.

Will pot in soil once healthy roots appear.

I might be wrong but I don’t think you should put the whole branch in water for it to grow roots. You need to snap off the stem and put it in water, and it will grow roots in 7 days. Then you put it in soil. Use a small dish like a plate so the stem doesn’t sink or fasten it to a small stick 🦯 to keep the leafs afloat.

Snap off the small tree like part that’s growing off the main branch. Lol! I don’t know the correct terms for all these plant lingos 😂😂😂 I hope you understand me though 😭😭😭

Well, this is a first try. These had no leaves when I started, so they must be absorbing water somehow. I did put some in a dish, but they died, sadly.

I'll see how they fair, and adjust from my learning.

Ah! Okay. Then it might take longer for the roots to grow because if it’s growing leaves then it’s definitely absorbing water. I’m so excited. There’s this guy on YouTube who grows his own vegetables in his living room! He has a wall of cucumbers 😱

It’s been 10 days since I started BB on the liquid fertiliser and he has taken to it amazingly-Alhamdulilah ❣️- He’s showing new root growth and a new leaf 🍃. I was really anxious but BB just did what he does best which is to survive. He is a visual representation of change, and the power of support, love, kindness, and companionship in the process of becoming. May Allah continue to preserve him for me. Ameen 🤲.

Bio boy, passed away on the 15th of March 😭

I didn’t use the liquid fertiliser correctly and his seed became infected leading to mould growing up the stem and down to the roots. I tried potting him as a last ditch effort but the mould just started growing on the soil as well. I finally had to bury him in the bin 😔
