Green day today. I'll be moving my funds to Halo next week.
Are they in anyway better than CardinalStone?

And if they are, you can only know that by compare their performance after a quarter.
Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 8:47pm On Jan 23
They are already performing well than CD at the moment. I can only accomplish my target if I am in the equity premium of Cardinal.

I understand but moving money here and there (equity fund) in a short period is not advisable except you'd be staying with the new asset manager for a while no matter their result.

Also, I wonder why Cardinal can't invest our money using the premium strategy since the two are still invested in stocks.
Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 9:18pm On Jan 23
I don't want to move; however, Halo is doing really well. I'm planning to stay for a very long time. I won't be moving completely. I am just going to balance both accounts.

Ok, I just noticed just now that all my account/investment info on the app has disappeared o guess this is an error from their end although initially, I must confess that it was there with zero green.

I was referring to Equity by the way.

What this actually means is that, their selections of stocks within the premium were more carefully selected hence the high return. It's an elite thing or how else can one define the situation whereby , the lower option stocks aren't as productive as the premium.

Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 9:34pm On Jan 23
I don't really know what stocks are being used for the premium. One thing that baffles me is that the stocks in the premium go fast rapidly. If we are at 0.97, the premium will be at 3.29. It hardly goes down. There is something fishy about the premium. Halo has been doing well for the past 2years. My 10M must make profit; I will still stick to CD, but Halo will be taking a huge amount of my funds and top-up.

Yes, it's unfair. How do they expect us to get 100m easily? 1m-10m is still acceptable.

Well, the same reason why they wouldn't review the selections of stocks within the premium is the same reason it's called ' premium ' and while it makes more money.

Lmaoo. It's an elite thing. Take for instance if the selections of stocks within the low are the same as the premium would they call it premium in the first place, would they have any reason to hide their stocks within the premium?

What will it cost them to realign their lower equity option stocks from the premium after all, they wouldn't have to fix it to 20% and will make money even if it's a little.

This unfairness isn't Farfetch and it isn't a roevted science.

All they needed to do is to adjust the lower equity basket if stocks from the premium even and not leave us with the options of the ones within the present selections making us struggle between green and red daily.
Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 9:54pm On Jan 23
I agree with you. The elite will always become richer. FirstAlly has MMF premium with 5m as the minimum capital; nevertheless, the rate of the normal MMF goes head to toe with the premium for a few days. At least they still care about the normal customers at large. CD normal equity is still struggling to hold on to 7YTD, while the premium is already at 20 YTD; by next month it might be at 50 YTD, and the normal will still be struggling at 7YTD. As you mentioned earlier, poor man pikin dey suffer.

How come the bearish season is not affecting them?

Simple. The basket of stocks you have within the lower/Equity isn't the same as the ones within the premium. This also goes to show that, it's intentional cos they could readjust or input those premium stocks into the lower equity fund for us to enjoy too even with little interest.
Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 12:31am On Jan 24

The difference really is around being active in trading. For equity it's mostly weekly all our transactions happen except there is a rare case, they jump on the stock for the week.

One can bet the CSOF is more like daily trading, hence the big hedge

Well, I will only agree with you on that if.....they make available the number of stocks within the premium package just like they did with the lower package. The question is, why is it not in the open though? Or maybe, when you finally have 100ion and join the club you'll be given a link or access to it and why is that the case? It is a premium/ELITE version and it's not meant for the Mekunnu (small investors like us)
Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 8:34am On Jan 24
How is your experience with Halo? Are they reliable and safe?

Care4:
I've used for years and no issues. Portals and apps may have glitches but it doesn't make a house like afrinvest a bad one.
For me, the are one of the powerhouses in the capital market.

But the app says minimum entry is 500k though or am i missing something

So you mean if you enter with 100m, with current yield of 20%, you can make 20m after just one week?

Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 9:21am On Jan 24
The 500k is erroneous; I did email them, and they replied with 100m minimum. With 100m, your profit at this moment might be 20m. Mine with 8m; I have made 500k+ within a month.

Nawa. This their discrimination is soo blatant and seems unfair. The basket may also include some unquoted securities as well.

I can see minimum holding period is a year. That money may have trippled in a year.

Im guessing one can liquidate before a year though except that penalty may apply

Do you have a view of the performance history?
Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 9:33am On Jan 24
Check the price list from this website provided by sec.

No info graphics? These are just typed figures.

Also what is wrong with their app? No where to look it up for oneself?
Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 9:35am On Jan 24
Yes, I will try Halo after doing my verification about them from the SEC website. They are on par with the CSOF. You can give them a try as well. Check the price of all the fund managers, and you will see who is doing well. Attached is the Excel file. Check under equity.
