@Seun Nigerian league should always make front page as we are in Nigeria.
The prioritisation of the English league on nairaland won't develop our grassroot football.
There are alot of talented footballers in the Nigerian league and we can use nairaland to showcase them to the world 🌎.
Wilson Oruma,Pius Ikhedia and Julius Aghahowa all started from Bendel insurance fc and I watched them when they were playing in the local scene.
Presently,Emmanuel Akpan,kayode oke ,Henry onyia etc are presently doing very well for the Adaa Bendel boys of Benin.

Meanwhile, I support Oluyole Warriors to win this game in Ibadan tomorrow, after their disappointing 0-2 loss to Bayelsa away last week.

Same Ibadan where they shot Iginewari Gorge of Rangers for no reason and uptil today no one has been prosecuted for that..

Iginewari Gorge was shot dead by "Unknown persons" at ibadan stadium after Rangers defeated Stationary Stores in a match at Ibadan. Iginewari,the junior brother to Finidi Gorge, died on the spot!

Someone actually took a gun to the stadium, cocked his gun and took aim at the Rangers Team Bus, and pulled the trigger! The young man just came back from representing Nigeria at the under 17s!

Such a pity that most of us can mention all the names of Chelsea & Arsenal players but not one of our local players.

Ikorodu City is doing very well in the Nigerian Premier league and they play beautiful football.
Try following them in their socials as they have a very good media crew.
Ikorodu City is quite professional.

When asked about whether there were any official explanations or inquiries opened, Alari’s response was;
“Till this moment, we never got an official explanation; nothing from the NFA (NFF) as they were formerly called, nothing from the league body. If it was a stray bullet from the police trying to restore order and protect the players, or if it were an overzealous Stores fan.”

No closure, no inquiries, even after 30 years.
