Ferocious Battle Footage From Sambisa Forest War Front by Jakumo(op): 5:41am On Jan 24
It is not often that a Nigerian soldier is able to capture a firefight involving infantry, tanks and major firepower, so when this video clip arrived in my news feed, I had to share it on the Nairaland forum for the viewing pleasure of my fellow armchair generals in the house. If you listen carefully you will hear the whistle of incoming rounds whipping past the cameraman's head as he bravely records the chaotic firefight.

Sit back, and enjoy the fireworks, but while you see the brave men of the Nigerian army lock horns with a determined and well funded enemy, remember that this is no movie, and that when the smoke clears, a few Nigerian soldiers will have paid the ultimate price, and thus made the ultimate sacrifice for their fatherland.

This is so frightening to watch. We need help to defeat this rag tag group, them are determined to get victory over our gallant forces. May the soul of the officers who pay the ultimate price rest in peace.

That tank commander should have been taking cover. Too much yanga will get a soldier killed fast. Bullets were thick in the air, and he was strolling around as though on a weekend pleasure walk.

What have been happening lately is, whenever the terrorists group together in their numbers for a specific attack, before they throw a banger, they are already receiving.

Before it wasn't like that. Whatever that might have changed, we want it like that

don't mind them, they thought we're fools. This is just acting. During intense battle, no one will be bold video like that and no trained soldier would stand like that as if he's immune to bullets. Our soldiers are trying but this look like acting or training ground without real bullets

What has changed is that US drones are feeding the Nigerian military high command with real time updates as to the precise GPS coordinates where the terrorists are massing. This is why many more air strikes are being recorded as successes. No place to hide for the virgin hunters now that Uncle Sam's eye in the sky is working hand in hand with Nigeria's air force and army.
Re: Ferocious Battle Footage From Sambisa Forest War Front by CodeTemplarr: 8:02am On Jan 24
I have seen the video and it proves nothing tangible except that ammunitions are being expended. The soldiers are being commanded to advance toward nothing in particalar within sight. No bulletproof on them shows they just taking silly risk of higher firepower if any terrorist exists on the other side.

Another puzzling issue is, who recorded such a clip if not a deliberately orchestrated leak from NSA to score political points?

We saw someone dismissed from military for same offense just a weak ago. Lol

Hahahaha, is this the first time USA troops would be assisting Nigeria troops with all what you listed above.

The terrorists used to be tipped before any attacking on them. That's the main difference

Amid the "fog of war", troops are trained to unleash storms of fire without even seeing the enemy combatants. That "spray and pray" methodology is used by all militaries to overwhelm the enemy, and keep their heads down while the attackers advance on them to wipe them out. It is rare for troops to see the enemy close up. Very often they saturate the area with fire, and only discover the enemy bodies when they advance.

Nonsense. They will say buhari has asked them to stop publishing any potentially exciting content of exploits against the terrorist? Useless liars.

Christ! That soldier walking around without taking any form of cover, does he have a death wish? At one point, he almost walked into the direct line of fire of a team at the back.
I have watched videos of the Nigerian army during the civil war. From what I just watched today, it appears very little has changed. Whatever happened to radio or wireless comms? How can a CO be shouting at the top of his voice during an active combat operation? Our men deserve better. If we are sending them to risk their lives pursuing terrorists, they need every equipment to make the job easier.

Ok, my pellow kwantiri-man. Your opinion is noted for all it is worth, as a fellow armchair general strategizing at a computer keyboard far from the theater of war.

Because of the random changes in that man's direction as he walked, he could easily have been hit by "friendly fire" from his own troops. Maybe he was relying on juju talismans that never work in reality. There is NO substitute for taking cover when the shooting starts, UNLESS an advance is ordered.

my point is simple. The video is likely just for eye service and should not have been leaked. It goes against the ethics of warfare we have come to know about the NA. Wasn't an officer dismissed for sharing such content just few days ago?
Also it proves nothing against insurgents except that ammunitions are being expended.

Who is this one walking around like he is immune to bullets. Also in this intense fight, how did suicide bomber get to army position
Re: Ferocious Battle Footage From Sambisa Forest War Front by helinues: 8:23am On Jan 24
Let me drop my unusual conspiracy about the latest event

It's all started with Coup rumor, the coup wasn't about removing the president but to distabilized the military sector so that some ongoing investigations about not just only the sponsor of the terrorists and the terrorists themselves but those who are supplying them with arms and ammunition and the logistics companies.

Both logistics and arms running in Nigeria is mostly Southern people work. Remember the coup aftermath referenced Bayelsa state in particular, it wasn't only Bayelsa state that was affected in the southern states.

When the coup failed, they immediately brought up christian percecution story just to distract, initially it wasn't mature before they raised their awareness as their references have been under the past government. It was undermined locally before they involved the lobbyists to get Usa involved.

Immediately Trump was talking about Christian persecution, if you paid attention during that time, there was unexpected attack increase in churches, christian schools, Christian community just temporary. If things scattered, nobody will have time for investigation but how to restore peace

NSA had to travel to USA asap to debunk the earlier christian persecution story under this government, explain the real situation of those who have been frustrating the efforts of past and present government in causing insecurity deliberately.

The clarification made this current Collabo with USA and Nigeria to work as those who have been behind, the terrorists sponsor, Terrorists foot soldiers, the arms runners and the logistics companies are currently trying to stay low key and erase anything that might lead to them.

The christian persecution story in North not even in Southern part of the country was/is mostly discussed by the Southern people unconsciously even though they are not happening as exaggerated under this government..

Purely paid media work. In short, media brainwashing

Recently I have watched some clips of real life combat by our fellow soldiers ... giving their best... their lives... to defend our national peace...

A big Salute to these soldiers for their bravery and genuine morale to sustain the victories achieved...

I also encourage fellow citizens... in times like these to show genuine solidarity to the Nigerian Armed Forces... and if possible send gifts through the various military stations within Nigeria... as a show of appreciation and recognition of their sacrificial efforts...

Kudos Soldiers... Good will always conquer evil... RENAISSANCE

In Africa and Nigeria especially, teachers make students pass through their own personal struggles and relegate advancement/dissemination of knowledge away from the fore.

No bulletproofs also.

On the contrary, it is VITAL that the military should show certain aspects of their offensive operations at the war front, to carry along the nation's populace, and assure them that the fight is being taken to the enemy at long last. This footage does not give away any operational secrets, while it shows that the Nigerian army's front-line soldiers are fearlessly storming the very bowels of hell to fight for peace in Nigeria.

This video clip will certainly have been approved for release by the high command.

I know that these kind words you have written will be read and greatly appreciated by our troops at the war front. Knowing that their sacrifices and hardship are lauded by the public will inspire the warriors to perform acts of great heroism of which we the civilian observers, will only ever see a select few carefully screened incidents on our computer screens.

See Codetempler, This post that was directed at you is actually a FACT. That you dismissed it so nonchalantly speaks of your knowledge in regards to actual infantry firefights on a REAL LIFE Warfield undecided

Take it as 'education' 🤗 no use fighting knowledge undecided tell Jakumo "thank you" later 😏
