I saw one boy without camouflage ran forward in front of the camera man and I was not okay with that until I hear the blast and the camera man shouted suicide bomber. ![]() |

Afolabimills:You are right. No helicopter gunships in the scene while the camera rolled. That aerial participation could have kicked off later though. |

Nigerian army has along way to go. Where is their coms? The each troop wear beside their helmet? You don't need to shout at war fronts anymore.. it stopped after the 2nd world war. Where is the drones |

Amen. That's a serious encounter with the insurgency but I keep wondering why there wasn't air assistance for the Nigeria Army on ground. In this type of situation, air support is highly needed to round them up and roast them like suya.....They would be entrap between the Air support and the ground troupe.....Nigeria has the strength and capability to deal with this insurgency but the planning and the conviction to go ahead and do it is the issue here...... zoghys: |

Yet, they're not terrorists abi but bandits who who became wild because some criminals stole their cows?🤣🤣🤣 Imagine this happening in a country where they claim to have the best military in Africa, terror groups were left to grow because of politics & military incompetence. Jakumo: |

I love this! I wish I could be there fighting with the Soldiers against the terrorists. I had always wanted to be a Soldier. I applied in 2008 DSSC but was unsuccessful and couldn't apply again due to age limit. I can feel the impact of the Trump in this fights, I hope the US can supply our Soldiers with enough arms to conquer these basteerds. It's now the Nigerian Army is really fighting and I hope they make it a co-ordinated attack. Air support is very key to easily decimating these disposables. I wish them victory (how did suicide bombing occur in that place? Was it by one of the Soldiers or a terrorist ran into them?) |

CodeTemplarr:What are you saying Ukrainian and Russia even IDF battalion shows their kills everyday. My favourite is Ragdog II Battalion, they show their drone kills. You will see enemies driving or advancing on foot. Boom they are gone. And it's legit, they allow them update. There is this Ukrainian fleet, they use drones and their main mission is to blow out enemies supply with suicide drones which they update their field almost everyday until they stopped December (They have been killed). |

Berankis:The Captain walking around carelessly with No Helment/Bullet. No wonder our soldiers dies. Even US don't do like this, they always stay in hideous and tell each other when advancing to cover with heavy firepower. With my COD experience I'll still act better than these guys. |

Jakumo:In this kind of situation they need air support, an attack helicopter will make a big difference here. |

xeju:The rise of Islamist terror in West Africa is far more complex than this description you have offered. The Islamists are invading several countries in West Africa, and they are being funded by deep pockets, more than likely linked to Arab countries that dream of converting Nigeria into an Islamic rogue state like Afghanistan, so that the Arab countries can then seize control of Nigeria's oil fields in their capacity as the nation's caliphate overlords. Many of the terrorists swarming Nigeria, Niger, Chad and Burkina Faso are battle-hardened militiamen who became unemployed when their former paymaster in Libya, tyrant Moammar Ghadaffi was overthrown and terminated in October 2011. Taking their infantry weapons and war fighting expertise, those wild men from Libya became guns-for-hire, who then crossed the Sahara Desert into West Africa, and proceeded to train idle uneducated youths in northern Nigeria among other countries, to become expendable Jihad fighters. |

Jakumo:They think war is like movies and video games. 99% of real battles you don't even see the enemy, you don't know exactly how far away they're, or their weapon types, etc. You just return fire in the general direction of the incoming rounds, keep your heads low, and maneuver tactically out of the killbox if ambushed. In this video, the soldiers are sending out suppressing fire just like you said, until the suicide bomber flanking from the right disoriented them. Shame there's apparently no air cover for them or artillery and radios, as all commucation seems like shouted commands and pleadings not to retreat. I've seen worse firefights in Afghanistan and Iraq. |

pook:Hopefully the Nigerian military will send a few electronics engineers and technicians to learn how Ukraine hurriedly manufactures cheap and expendable "kamikaze" drones that can deliver RPG grenades directly on the enemy. These drones are affordable, and can be mass produced far from the war front, where drone operators can also be trained on readily available simulators, until they are capable of flying those drones into any space that can contain a hiding combatant, so as to blow them to smithereens without risking a single federal troop. |
| Re: Ferocious Battle Footage From Sambisa Forest War Front by ELKHALIFAISIS(m): 9:34am On Jan 24 |
I don't know why Nigeria Army keep repeating the same thing all the time... You don't need to send in foot soldiers, just put drones up there and eliminate the threats from far with zero casualties from Ur side |

I don't know why the footage looks somehow to me because in the midst of such a barrage of gunshots exchange between the soldiers and the terrorists, how can someone be strolling around anyhow even if he has OYEKU. |
| Re: Ferocious Battle Footage From Sambisa Forest War Front by Chucks13: 9:36am On Jan 24 |
One question I kept asking is: pls what is the economic usefulness of this dried sambisa forest to this country that the millitary can not map it out and rains bombs on it to turn it upside down and make sure nothing remain standing there be it tree or animal or terrorists? Is their oil in the forest? Is the forest a habitat place for human? All I know is its a dead forest then destroy it make we rest abeg. |
| Re: Ferocious Battle Footage From Sambisa Forest War Front by MONEY247: 9:37am On Jan 24 |
Let me explain something.... Some people are saying why are they standing and walking... The thing the militants are distance away most of the shot is friendly fire... I have watched several videos of Nigeria army walking around in intense battle.... It's just like you sight an enemy 5 km away and this enemy is actually retreating.... But you need to advance your position but with caution..... Only problem I have is where are the jets.... In advanced military formation... Coordinate would have been sent... Or pop up smoke for bomb targets to drop... God bless the Nigeria army |

They should move, outflank and encircle the terrorists... staying static and shooting is a waste of time |
