I agree with you. The elite will always become richer. FirstAlly has MMF premium with 5m as the minimum capital; nevertheless, the rate of the normal MMF goes head to toe with the premium for a few days. At least they still care about the normal customers at large. CD normal equity is still struggling to hold on to 7YTD, while the premium is already at 20 YTD; by next month it might be at 50 YTD, and the normal will still be struggling at 7YTD. As you mentioned earlier, poor man pikin dey suffer.
This FirstAlly premium is one I do not understand. Currently their normal mmf is 26% & premium is 20%. I thought premium constantly ought to be higher than normal.

Premium can never drop below 18% and there is a holding period of 90 days but normal is better because no holding period the only disadvantage is it can drop below 18%
Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 9:54am On Jan 24
It compounds monthly; that is the difference.

How is their profit payout for premium? Is it monthly or quarterly. That is If I invest can I withdraw profit monthly or wait every 90 days to withdraw profit. I'm talking about only d profit not capital.

Yes, I will try Halo after doing my verification about them from the SEC website. They are on par with the CSOF. You can give them a try as well. Check the price of all the fund managers, and you will see who is doing well. Attached is the Excel file. Check under equity.

So going by this list from SEC, does it mean Cowry's Investment portfolio does not fall into the MMF category seeing as it is not included in the list of funds in that category

if you invest in premium you have to wait for 90days before u make withdrawals if not u will pay penalty

Take note the minimum investment amount for premium is 5million
Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 10:02am On Jan 24
Sorry, I have no explanation for that; maybe Sec has its own rule and policy.

Cowrywise is like a platform via which u can access a pool of assets managers. But what I don't know is if something should happen to cowrywise platform, how can one access his funds since one didn't register with the asset managers directly? & It seems trustbanc is only accessible through cowrywise, because I don't understand the trustbanc app.

Yes but then they have their own funds too, the Cowry Investment Portfolio. different from the 3rd party funds aggregated on their platform

I think the cowry investment portfolio is not classified as mmf or equity. It is probably just their own investment package, reason it is not on the SEC list.

you mean u can withdrawal ur accrued interest monthly not quarterly?
Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 11:21am On Jan 24
HYIS premium interest is paid monthly and compounded monthly. So, after the 90 days have passed, you can start to withdraw the interest to your account monthly or just let it keep compounding monthly.

but the daily accrued interest are displayed daily right
Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 11:38am On Jan 24
Of course, just like the MMF, you will see the rate daily, and at the beginning of the new month, your accrued interest will be deposited to your initial capital.

Yeah could be, but then this is basically a list of all investment schemes by fund managers as regulated by the SEC so me thinks it should fall under a section, any section even if not MMF

I will venture into it I'm doubtful because of its medium risk status ever since
Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 12:12pm On Jan 24
The risk means it has government bonds; if the government defaults, it might affect the funds. However, the bond is what makes the daily interest high.

to you what are the chances of government bond defaulting 🤔 in a scale of 1-10 ?
Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 12:26pm On Jan 24
Nothing is impossible; the government can default. However, I don't think it might happen anytime soon. This current government needs money to balance the debts they are looting.
