A major fire broke out on Saturday evening (January 24, 2026) at the Amuwo-Odofin Industrial Estate, located in the Mile 2 area of Lagos State. Multiple news outlets describe it as a significant blaze engulfing parts of the industrial zone.The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service confirmed the outbreak and says firefighters and emergency personnel are on the scene battling to contain the fire.

Extent of damage and official cause are not yet confirmed. Journalists and officials indicate that investigations are ongoing and more details (especially on what sparked the blaze) are awaited.

bro, Lagos is full, it will keep occurring in as much things are not properly planned and no fire alarms. In SA, every Street have fire alart in case of accident or fire, within min firefight will be on ground. Put that kind of system here, before morning if will be gone.

sane here in Ilorin last well. There was fire in a foam depot. We call fire service, the person we called say he has retire. We called the office, they show up like after 2hrs.
