Obnoxious2001:Thank you for your response. Yes, it works well on very low load, like a few LED Bulbs and Phone chargers and Router and fans even if l shut down everything and put on say a Cooker or Freezer or anything above 1Kw, it simple trips off and display fault error. |

oluchibabe:If I get you correctly, You are saying onces load is above 1kw inverter trips and gives overload on 5kw inverter? It likely smells like an inverter fault |

RickyM:WiFi to configure it and access it anywhere in the world. After setting it up, I've found out you can connect via Bluetooth to operate it, if WiFi is off. For your need, I think the manual type is ok. |

Mr solar brothers, I want to increase my panels cos I use 420w cworth panels, wanted to add more panels but cworth said the panels are not in production anymore. What's the best way to approach this now cos my inverter only has one mppt. And I can't just imagine replacing all 4 current 420w panels. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by osayuwamwen(m): 8:34am On Jan 25 |
Get another mppt fuckboys: |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Gshems: 9:33am On Jan 25*. Modified: 10:13am On Jan 25 |
Getting another mppt is the cheapest option or you look for a reputable company that sells 450w. fuckboys: |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by fuckboys: 10:35am On Jan 25 |
Gshems:I made my research and my best option is adding 450w panels to the 420w in series also. Only thing going to happen is the 450s limiting to 420s in the string which is very negligible. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by fuckboys: 10:36am On Jan 25*. Modified: 2:03pm On Jan 25 |
Gshems:yes, I will get 450s and series them with the 420w Getting another mppt isn't actually a cheaper option because that involves running another string of solar cable all the way from the roof to my house again. That close to 30yards in cable. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by fuckboys: 2:28pm On Jan 25 |
Please who has contact where I can get longi 450w original panels? |

Between this LG 1.5HP GenCool and Haier Thermocool 1HP GenPal. Which one will you guys recommend for a solar user? Do we have anyone with an experience of either? Want to know how power efficient are they? And the cooling!

RickyM:e get reason wey make I talk say as a shortCut, just get a 200w sachet inverter that costs 20,000 naira or less. |

Machiny:e go end with wetin You think vs wetin dem understand. sha make person no go bridge something. When I talk before say if not for solar, some people for never see wire pass the one wey dem take wire dem house una think say I dey joke |

oluchibabe:me just dey observe responses because every corner wey I think, I go realise mixed issues sha make I continue observing responses though left to me, would suspect something might have gobe wrong with your inverter. maybe a capacitor or the like don go bad, but not enough to shut the entrie system down. I get a CPU wey i mistakenly popped 2 sets of capacitors yet e continue dey work like say nothing happen. Who knows what might have happened with yours. Even when new, you really were loading your system close to it's capacity especially with those heavy loads. If you have time, would suggest you at least try to narrow down the issue to either inverter or battery by first going to a place where dem dey sell used inverters, tell them you want to check if an inverter of so so so capacity (the capacity of your current inverter) can work with your load. Tell them you might buy but not sure BUT as form of security, tell them you would make payment with understanding that if you return it within 1 or 2 days and in same condition you took it, you get a full refund of your money while you pay them between 5,000 to 7,000 naira for their trouble. if dem gree, do that so you at least know where to narrow down the issue to. or just give the work to an installer, He/She should know how to go about it. Without physical contact with your setUp, most of us can do nothing but guess. Some kind matter, na to wear 3-quarter shorts, enter street, not speaking plenty shiny grammar |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 6:35pm On Jan 25 |
fuckboys:you could always get another 420w panel from another manufacturer. e get reason wey even the soap wey I dey use bath, I no dey too get a specific one. na so the day it gets out of my reach for whatever reason, I wouldn't be left stranded. imagine say ma hair relaxer na dark&Lovely or nothing, and it gets super expensive or the company goes under or whatever, and my skin don adjust to just that, no be wahala I don put for myself. A lot of these companies are nothing but distributors (marketers) hence most of their items are generic with their own stickers. Rarely do they make their own products |

osayuwamwen:if the combined capacity of both existing and solar panels are still within capacity of the inbuilt charge controller, then no need getting another charge controller to add or replace with |

ishayaauta:800k setup cannot carry all the load you mentioned for 24hrs. Assuming the loads are rated as follows; 2laptops = 88watts 2phones = 10watts 1router = 10watts fan = 90watts Tv = 100watts Total wattage = 298watts You need about 5kwh battery to run all the above load from 6pm till the next morning. Only the battery will take the 800k that you have. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by ishayaauta(m): 11:52pm On Jan 25 |
adimx:Omo na wow oooo Okay if I need the 5kw battery How many KVA inverter do I need and what type of charge controller will I need if I should up my budget to 1.5M Thank you so much for your response |

ishayaauta:Based on the load you mentioned, Haisic Black LFP 7.2kwh = 800k Inverter 3kw-4kw 24v is fine. = 350k-450k four 550watts panel = 115k*4 protection box with breakers and surge = 60k cable and installation ( Depending) = 300k |

Have you checked all your battery terminals? If any of the cells have slightly loose terminals, this can also happen. oluchibabe: |
