Going into today’s game between Manchester United and Arsenal, Arsenal seemed unbeatable. They held 3 remarkable records.

Before today, they hadn’t conceded 3 goals in a single game since 2023.

Since this season, they hadn’t lost at the Emirates until today.

Lastly, they hadn’t lost any game in which they scored first this season until today.

What is my point?

Before today, Arsenal fans didn’t believe in the possibility that a Manchester United that has so far been riddled with crisis can beat them at home.

The above is no different from Tinubu supporters who don’t believe in the possibility that Tinubu can be defeated even as incumbent no matter how formidable he appears.

Before today, Manchester United has been in a kind of crisis just like Nigerian opposition parties and politicians have been in crisis. But just like Man United found a way to defeat Arsenal at their own turf, so also can the opposition find a way to beat Tinubu in 2027.

Will it be easy? No.

Will there be pushbacks. Yes. Like today, Arsenal doubled the scoreline at 2:2 in what looked like dying minutes of the game but United got the job done regardless.

So, like United pulled off what seemed impossible today, so also can it happen in 2027.
