You can split your equity, half in Stanbic Equity and half in Cardinal or Afrinvest. Use a balanced approach since you are just new to equity. Check here for the best equity fund managers and ponder on who to go with.

Lovely discussion going forward, hopefully at some point we can recommend how to start our own equity investing and learning to balance investment in direct investment which is also a form of setting up your own mutual funds but seeking growth. Right now, I think it’s time to focus on growth for the next five years, then take a portion of the profits and invest in MMF, just balancing the equity portfolio but I would estimate maybe around 10 percent withdrawal every year after five years of growth.

I am starting my main equity investment this year.
Re: Equity Investment. by Niiade(m): 7:07pm On Jan 26
Just review GT Trust Fund services and i am in shock they will take 1% annually as fees for MMF, wow and some other investment they have it up to 2%. its crazy
Re: Equity Investment. by Niiade(m): 7:15pm On Jan 26
Please any recommedation for equity fund account that dont have huge fees attached to them, i am tired of opening new accounts and seeing issues with using the platform, I dont even understand why some charge fees to deposit funds.
Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 7:39pm On Jan 26
CardinalStone has a lesser service fee, and they only charge 50naira for any transaction. Withdrawal is swift as well.

Hello Investors, Thank you EquityM And other moderator. I have been a silent member from the Mutual funds Group. I invested in most of the Mutual fund with Gtb Fund manager, Stanbic and Arm. I joined Mutual fund last October, when the capital tax affected Equity and the Dip in stocks in November ( i saw my portfolio lost over 1million😂😂😂). so I joined at the "not so good time". However, this build my resilience and mind you all my portfolio has beautifully recovered. As we enjoy the Green day, we should also expect the Red day. Happy investing Everyone.

Great to hear you are back on track. Of course, Green Day and Spartacus Day are normal in equity. No red, no fun. Equity is a long-term growth driver that requires patience and resilience, as you mentioned earlier.

quick question, are any gain made from the sale of equity funds are they subject to tax as in personal income tax or are tax related parts deducted by the firm handling the equity funds. Thank you
Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 12:36am On Jan 28
No tax for now, as I withdrew some funds from Cardinal to Zrosk. I wasn't taxed at all.

Today seems red in the equity market 🤔
Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 2:18pm On Jan 28
Yes, MTN is doing some weird stuff. We might see red today in CardinalStone. But Zrosk does not rely heavily on MTN. Nacho, Zenith, Wema, GTCO, and UBA are up.

Does that mean Zrosk lists the stocks they invest on just like cardinal stone?

Time to port
Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 2:31pm On Jan 28
Yes, they do. I know all the stocks they invest in, and they only invest in Seplat, as oil and gas is known for high volatility. That is why if Aradel or Presco goes down in CardinalStone, we usually lose tons of money. Porting is 5M as minimum.

Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 2:37pm On Jan 28
Chat with them on WhatsApp. Between, they are still building their new website, so you only get the statement of valuation and the performance of all the stocks via email.
