Hannatu Musawa, the Minister of Arts & Culture, in an interview on MIC ON with Seun Okinbaloye, when asked about the rumoured replacement of VP Shettima with a Christian Candidate in 2027, said APC will meet a major hurdle if the Party does not present a Hausa/Fulani/Kanuri Moslem as VP candidate PRESS STATEMENT

These are nothing but wild speculations brewed in the ever-busy minds of the handle-mop intellectual factory. Tinubu did not wake up after winning the election to “select” Shettima as vice-president. Shettima was chosen long before the polls, as a running mate on a jointly contested ticket. Ironically, the same handle-mops were over the moon when Tinubu announced Shettima. They celebrated it as a self-inflicted electoral blunder, confidently predicting doom on account of the same-faith ticket. They milked it endlessly for campaigns, sermons, Twitter threads, and moral grandstanding, climaxing in the now-legendary “Yes, daddy” audio courtesy of the agulu messiah. Now comes the comedy twist, after losing the election, they suddenly pretend that Tinubu first won and then casually went shopping for a vice-president based on religion. |

southsouthking:The problem is not necessarily Shettima. It's the current religious e*trimism that has got Trump to designate Nigeria as a CPC. The most insensitive thing for any party to do now is to present a Muslim-Muslim for president & VP. On the other hand, the northern Muslim (who do not see Tinubu as Muslim enough) would revolt at the polls if one of theirs isn't on the ballot. This would be perhaps the most complicated political decision for Tinubu and APC to make. |

Needful... Governance should not be relegated so quickly for these. Shettima will likely be retained for 2 years into 2nd term. |

Tinubu would shoot himself in the leg if he drops shettima. He shouldn't please!!! This isn't city boy shit!!! He would end up dividing his vote in the north |

They already wanted to replace him with Kwankwaso but then Trump came and Kwankwaso was told he could no longer be VP. Shettima will still be replaced. They're playing the waiting game. |

Are they planning to replace shettima? I thought they say in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural and religious society like Nigeria, the Muslim -Muslim ticket does not matter? Why are they looking for replacement. Sometimes it pays to see outsiders seeing n knowing our national problems and trying to solve them than our selfish leaders here pretending to be elders and statesmen! May God help Nigeria |

As predicted. Tinubu will drop Hannatu Musawa shortly before the election or immediately after. Man has the most fragile ego ever. Now watch as Agbadorians who hailed the interview as a beautiful outing and showered her with praise now make a 360 and call her the devil-incarnate. These people are insufferable! |

The questions sensible people would ask themselves is who is there in the North that PBAT will choose as a replacement for VP Shettima if he intends to get the whole support of a great majority of the North assuming that replacement is even possible? What is the electoral value of that person compared to Shettima and is the person an asset or liability to PBAT when it comes to the re-election? |

Why do Fulani muslims like oppressing northern Christians? If Tinubu doesn't replace Shettima with a Christian, Donald Trump should designate Tinubu a person of particular concern! If a southern Muslim is good enough to be president, a northern Christian is also good enough to be VP. |
