Hello Guys, Starting a Frozen Food Business and I will like to ask for advice if a solar setup can effectively power 2 freezers and a Chiller? Also, I will appreciate suggestions on solid installers in Lagos |

I have a 12v inverter with 4pcs of 440w jinko panels, I want to upgrade to 4.2kva 8kWh Haisic stackable system... But right now I don't want to change the panels from 440w to higher wattage to minimize space on the roof. How many panels of 440w can be added to my existing PV array setup to charge the battery faster... It's a rented apartment so putting lot of solar panel roof might flag my landlord to increase my rent ![]() |

ishayaauta:Depends on how you manage.... I have been on 4kwh 24v for sometime now, I even use air fryers, fridge, washing machine and induction cooker. Note these things are not run once. You can go for the 3.6 to 4kwh 12v. Run fridge during the day, phones that are charged won't be charged again. I doubt you watch TV all day |

Good morning all. I am thinking of switching to a 8kwh lithium battery. From what I have seen, the major options are valto, mrreed, haisic, cworth. Are there other good options? For those who are more experienced, which would be the better option for me? Also, I have noticed that 5kwh battery from valto is almost same price with 8kwh by Mr Reed. I will appreciate if those who are experienced can explain the extra benefits of valto's battery. Lastly, please, can I see your 8kwh battery @mrreed Pleae, I will appreciate responses. |

mctfopt:Thank you. The LG is 1.5HP though, still better right? |

olagamalin:Definitely, bro... Your budget will decide, though. |

It balls down to your space as both are of different capacity (1hp vs 1.5hp). I currently have the older version from your picture of the 1hp thermocool and it's been great in terms of performance and efficiency (between 270w to 490w on the lowest Gen mode). I've not used LG AC so I can't speak to its efficiency. bkuranga: |

Mrreed:Checking...Checking...Cnecking. All good. Or could ir be some "bms settings" limiting power draw and shutting battery off, once thar draw limit is achieved, whenever ; add a powerful item of say 2 - 3kw. Or what else can make battery capacity go from full, to zero, in a second, when l apply such 3kw appliance and system shuts down immediately? |

Do any of you couple lifepo4 batteries that are direct replacements for the ones in Rechargeable fans (40w Polystar) and can be recharged without issues by the fans circuits? |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by capnies: 2:18pm On Jan 26 |
Please gurus greetings what is the easiest way to charge your lifepo4 cells to 3.65v before building |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Penuelseun(m): 2:26pm On Jan 26 |
oluchibabe:You can paste your BMS settings screen here, let's go through it together |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Penuelseun(m): 2:27pm On Jan 26 |
capnies:connect all cells in parallel and charge to 3.65v |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by dollarnaira(m): 3:36pm On Jan 26 |
capnies:If they are 4 cells: •connect in series as 12v. •Charge full to 14.4 or 14.6v. •Then dismantle and connect all in parallel to achieve same voltage. This method is very fast. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by dollarnaira(m): 3:38pm On Jan 26 |
oluchibabe:Try bypass the bms |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by BangaRice: 4:51pm On Jan 26 |
dollarnaira:with no bms to limit each cell to 3.65V ? I doubt it will work as perfectly as you make it sound. |

Valto:Bro, I have nothing against anyone. Just asking a question cus I want to make a decision. You told gave me price for 5kwh battery recently, so, don't know why you are saying that you don't have any 5kwh battery. I am not expecting an answer from you as regards that particular question. I was hoping others who have experience with the batteries can answer me, the same way that they would answer me if I ask for the difference between haisic and cworth battery. You being here should not mean I can't ask others about your products or ask those who are more learned than I am to help me do a comparison. Same way, one of us complained bitterly about buying a battery that he later felt was not the best he could have gotten. If he had come here to ask questions openly, he would probably have gotten proper advice, and he won't have ended up feeling cheated upon. The group is repeatedly pushed as a place to learn. So, kindly allow me learn. Thanks bro |
