..every Monday let him.provide tight security for the traders and businesses people in that market ..not just to be closing market.,
Why would the traders need tight security? I thought IPOB is a peaceful organization?

You sound naive. First of all it is every bit of the governors business. The sit at home Mondays are taking their toll on every institution, including banks, government agencies, not just private business. Even schools are not spared. There are 52 Mondays in a year, that is nearly 2 months. Students loose vital learning time and don't even get me started on the trillions of naira cash flow that is lost in the state. And you are saying it's not the governments business.
Yes I repeat, it's not the governor's business. His business should concern Govt institutions and how to protect them on that said sit at home dates so they can come out.
Why going to flex muscles to private business owners

Says one of those deceived by Orji Kalu, Benjamin Kalu, Ikpeazu, Theodore Orji. Liars who term realists as liars to re-capture and set Abia state backwards.

Please can you prove with facts that Alex Otti has not improved Abia state in the almost three years of governorship? If not, do not waste my precious time.

It would not have been senseless at all.

Infact that was a path that would demonstrated what self governance would have been and I am telling you would have precipitated serious agitation across other nationalities in Nigeria particularly in the southwest.

Imagine for a minute, if he had a slate for governors, state assemblies across the south east that got elected. Post election, the new leadership eliminates all corruption and institutes a functioning government that delivers for the people. At the same begins an extensive interstate cooperation with planning and projects at the regional level.

After 1 term, the rest of the country will start to note that and all the nationalities will start looking inwards and the process of reorganization of Nigeria will happen organically.

Unfortunately Nnamdi Kanu had no interest in anything like this because it was a just a scam job for him. It just succeeded beyond his wildest dreams and he just wanted to continue to milk it and enjoy his new found power.
What I deduce from your write up is that, you wanted him to use his popularity to install people who would have made Nigeria and the government good. That's a good idea, but in doing that they wouldn't be any talk of separation from him again.
He felt he and his people are being marginalized and doesn't want anything to do with the people treating them like that. So in trying to make that same entity good is the senselessness I am talking about

Monday is a work day. Government cares because it impacts the GDP of the state.

Beyond this - schools are impacted as well. We are essentially raising a generation that will struggle to fit into a normal five day working week. This nonsense has to stop.

Nnamdi Kanu is from Abia state - he can focus there for the sit at home and leave Anambra alone. Same with the criminal in jail in Finland - was busy inciting terror in Anambra yet businesses are open on Mondays in Abakaliki and rest of Ebonyi state.
Though I haven't verified if businesses and others are going on Monday's in other states of the east as you said.
But what I am trying to say here is: Soludo should focus on other sectors that concerns the government and leave private business owners alone. If those business owners sit at home is affecting the GDP of the state then let the govt open businesses of that type of their own and employ people there they can control.
.
Yes I am really concerned about other institutions like schools it's affecting, but that's the prerogative of the governor and should know how to deal with it

Because it is affecting commerce, the economy and investments. Anambra has lost some investors to neighbour Delta state.

Furthermore many traders may only be observing the Sit At Home out of fear and intimidation from IPOB ESN
Good, then he should have been providing security in the first place to erode that fear in them. And secondly he should leave the business guys and focus on govt institutions. If those private business owners wants to open anytime they like and the govt feel it's affecting their GDP, they the govt should opened it's own type of business and employ people they can tell what to do and not

Sit at home is one of the most futile and irrational things I've ever seen. It just doesn't make sense to me, because at the end of the day it is your own people that are loosing, not Yoruba or hausa. Its just like those people in some countries that go on hunger strike, it makes me wonder "is it not your self, you are doing" instead of you to eat food and have strength to protest, you choose to starve yourself. That is exactly what IPOB are doing.
It's a symbolic move to protest against injustice. It also shows that IPOB is not threatening anyone, but people are acting on their own freewill. Shame on the governor.

The thread was about ipob instructing Onitsha main market traders to disobey the governor and open market today. You asserted that there is no sit at home anywhere in Abia state. That's a big fat lie and U know it

All you know is to say “it is a lie”. Without evidence to back up your claim, are you not the liar here?

Oga, without delay, show us where sit at home was enforced in Abia state or any other eastern state yesterday and stop deceiving yourself. I am in Anambra right now and I will be in Aba tomorrow. Where was it even enforced in Anambra state yesterday? Why take a whopping three days off the week, sitting at home. If governance fails, you blame government for not being effective.

Do not waste time with your evidence. Produce it. Did you hear of any person or group of persons roaming the streets in buses carrying guns?

Sit at home was called off by the same IPOB several times and you watched certain cowards sit at home, stopping others who genuinely want to get to their shops/offices from getting there.

What’s the use taking three days away from school academic calendar every week in the name of an unjustifiable sit at home by non state actors? Why make the entire Anambra state or region suffer?

Prove that sit at home as held yesterday, or once again, please stop wasting my time.

That market is one of the critical areas of interest to the government and people of Anambra state. Without taking such drastic action, mondays would permanently become public holidays to the citizens.

Aside from shops in the market, there are banks, schools, private homes and government institutions operating there. When the market is shut down on Mondays, every business is shut down and government suffers losses of over 6 billion. How can that be recovered? When the market is shut down, the entire Onitsha is shut down for the day.

The major problem is fear in the hearts of some of the people. There are those who are ready to go to their shops on Mondays, but are discouraged by family and friends. Government has put security in place. Aside from the police and army, we have Agunechemba and SASA, along with other vigilante groups. Anambra is much safe now than it was two or three years ago.

Like you didn't know this already but because of the brainwashing from Kanu, you can't reason with your brain to understand that it's not just about the market but to crush the fear in the hearts of Onitsha citizens and force them to abandon their love for the scam secessionists Kanu and his disciples among them.

That's obviously their own convenient means of protesting or do u want them to go to the streets where nigerian security agents will open fire on them as usual?

Come on, how is sit at home a terrible nightmare for the Nigerian state.

Soludo is just being practical, sit at home achieves nothing. After how many years, it has not resulted in any meaningful development in the quest for Biafra, it didn't stop the government from sentencing MNK to life in prison, the government has never even invited IPOB for a conversation about their demands. Because sit at home is of no consequence to the government. A perfect example is the way the government reacted swiftly with the Naija Delta militants because their actions were costing the government, but you see IPOB their actions do not cost the government anything at all
Soludo is being practical over something the government doesn't give a damn?

The people that are participating in the sit at home exercise knows that, consistency is the key thats why they are still doing what they are doing. You and your likes should stop giving a damn by, pretending as if you lots don't even know that, there is something called "sit at home" in SE.

I was working in Onistsha from 2022-2024 and within that time even government workers were not free to go to work, schools were closed, banks too, even hospital you could not go, fueling stations, gas stations were were all closed every Monday. If you mistakenly forget to buy some things on Saturday, just forget it till Tuesday before you will get it again. It is just an unreasonable exercise, hurting only people in the state. Moreover, it is not even achieving anything. For how many years now, some people living outside South East don't even know anything called sit at home exist. It will even be better if Igbos all over Nigeria take to the streets and engage in peaceful demonstrations.

Bros, try and ignore those fools! I’m sure if a check is done of all the monikers on this thread stupidly supporting the idiotic actions of Soludo and expressing hatred for IPOB and Mazi Kanu, i’m sure you’ll find they’re mainly from one particular ethnic group and political persuasion! Any true Igbo by now should have realised not to take any unsolicited ‘advice’ these xenophobes hand out….whatever they tell you, just do the opposite!

They would love Mazi Kanu to submit himself and the agitation to the compromised, eminently kwarrupt and hegemonic-controlled Nigerian partisan-politics system, just so they can mercilessly rig him and the agitation into oblivion then turn around and declare to you that ‘Ndigbo don’t want anything secession and don’t like Mazi Kanu so he had better go find work and forget Biafra’!
