Of course this is one of the characteristics of Communist nations or those that embrace socialism deeply.

Power is retained by sacrifice and blood is the tonic to allay all fears of losing it.

Stalin had almost all his comrades murdered in the great purge of the 30's. And throughout the 60's, 70's and 80's Communist rule many were sent to Siberia at the slightest suspicion of disloyalty. Today Putin has resumed the summary putsches of anyone and everyone remotely eyeing power.

The infamous Pol Phut, communist leader of Cambodia went about slaughtering members of his CPK, as said, out of paranoia before turning his killing machine on his citizens and liquidating an estimated 2 million people, a quarter of his country:s population within 5 years until the world was fed up.

Let us not speak about North Korea where the lives of party leaders and members are as worthless as sand in the Sahara, were long standing Generals can be shredded and scattered with anti-aircraft like confetti at a sports event.

Then there is Latin America and the litany of Communist fiefdoms and wannabe socialist regimes. The Fidel Castro slaughter of the Bautistas to consolidate power comes to mind and the endless purges up until his death.

It is a characteristic of deeply socialist driven nations. There is always suspicion of internal sabotage and since leadership in those autocratic climes are basically lifelong ventures, they are always looking over their shoulders and fearing the day when the old lion as it were loses it teeth, can no longer hunt and is therefore doomed to death.

They said as Stalin lay dying, choking on his own vomit no one dared touch him because they all feared if he recovered he will have them all killed for witnessing the indignity.....

Spying or not. America can never defeat China. Ordinary Afghanistan, US abandoned. Disgrace of the Year is loading and lurking in US misadventure with Iran.

I don't think he released that document to the US just for the money. He was likely blackmailed for shady deals including taking bribes from junior officers in exchange for promotion. This is why I'm worried about our T-pain. If you are into shady deals and the US finds out, they may be blackmailing you to do their bidding. As it is now, Nigeria as a country may not even have a single secret, if you know you know.
Secret for where?
Ordinary Torji has our military secret at his fingertips let alone CIA or FBI.

They abandoned Afghanistan not because of war but because of the peace. I don't know why you folks keep on misrepresenting the facts.

They went in there after Al-Qaida and they succeeded in flushing them out of Afghanistan capturing and neutralizing almost every ruling and commanding member of that organisation save two or three that were finally caught and killed by the Obama administration.

The problem that led to a prolonged stay there was the vain attempt of trying to establish a proper government so that terrorists did not return to occupy the vacumn. This is where they fell flat.

Afghanistan has always been a loosely federated state controlled by tribal warlords backed by competing foreign interests from Pakistan, Iran , etc and the attempts at unifying it under a central, western style democratic government would not work.

So the US essentially left because it could not achieve it's political aims, not military objectives. And the country still remains fractured and unstable till today.

The problem the US has in most of these 21 century trans national wars is what to do after the military objectives have been achieved.

A lot of lessons have been learnt from the Bush era Iraqi conflict, that you cannot impose western style democracy unilaterally and without the cooperation of the citizenry. And that is why they are not in a haste to impose democracy on Venezuela.

As for Iran. It will not take the US more that 72 hours to militarily defeat it. But then what happens. A whole lot problems will arise. Just like Libya, the country will descend into the kind of chaos, neither the US or the Gulf states will be able to handle or contain.

Iran whose entire military chain of command was wiped out of existence by Israel in 3 days! 😂

War is not social media where you can boast and spin lies. In a true war between the United States and Iran, it would be a monumental catastrophy for the Iranian army.

Story to the imbeciles.
Its 12days, not 3-day of disgrace and lost for the godson Israel before godfather America begged for ceasefire.
Sebi your AMANDA has arrived, let the war start and we will see who is who. War not won by the more 4 wise men more than 30 yrs counting can never be won by 1 arrogant in 3yrs. Know this and stop fallacy.

But the people familiar with the briefing—which hasn’t been reported until now—said Zhang is under investigation for allegedly forming political cliques, a phrase describing efforts to build networks of influence ...
Youxia's increasing influence within China has begun to rattle Xi Jinping. Hence the need to remove him by any means necessary.
We know what this is all about. Xi Jinping and his accomplices should stop lying to us about General Youxia leaking information to the US of A. 😎

Chai....

It wasn't for spying for America.

You people should use sense lie now.

The general is the highest and the closest to Xi. China only mentioned corruption as the reason for his prosecution.

BBC and other reliable sites didn't say he spy for America.

The source on your post is not even the real Wall Street Journal
