I don’t think you understand my question. Basically, if you make profit from the equity fund account, with the new tax law requiring self-reporting, are you mandated to report the profit made from equity that you have withdrawn from your equity fund account with the financial institution.

You can split your equity, half in Stanbic Equity and half in Cardinal or Afrinvest. Use a balanced approach since you are just new to equity. Check here for the best equity fund managers and ponder on who to go with.

Try Afrinvest; CardinalStone is also good, but their equity is heavily weighted on oil and petroleum. Choose Afrinvest in order not to have high blood pressure.
