Most of them may be permanent residents or citizens. May be they got a very long visiting visa before their family migrated. It's not peculiar to Nigerians only. Even people from countries that do not need visa to enter Canada may be pull to secondary once they informed the immigration officer at the port of entry that they want to visit spouse and children who are already permanent resident or citizen. tpain121: |

Hello My visit visa is past 45 days now. Does it take that long? I have sent a webform, do I need to request a GCMS note? |

kolawolemonsuru:It says 38 days applying for a visitor visa from Nigeria. That’s about a month, which is consistent with some people that have been issued visa here. 45 days and then 3 months which that lady quoted sounds strange sha . |

Essential01:Canadian visitor visa application processing is not restricted by the applicants' planned travel timeline. The IRCC will continue to process your visitor visa application even if your intended travel date has passed, and the visa will be issued if they determine that you qualify for the visa. IRCC evaluates each application based on eligibility rather than the travel date, and this allows for continuous processing until a decision is made on the application. |

The person that invited them lives in Canada (15-30days) When you apply inside Canada for visit visa is faster than outside Canada okay.... tpain121: |
| Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Ashirioluwa: 12:36pm On Jan 29 |
kniffy:Because your parents have been issued a Canadian visitor visa within the last 10 years makes them eligible for the CAN+ program, which provides expedited processing. Their applications are typically sent to a faster stream because they have already been vetted. Your sister benefits from this faster processing timeline as well, since she applied with them. |
