They can protest against the governor but will hide under the bed when it is IPOB. They fear the IPOB more than government. Pls allow them to be. That's who they are.
They love IPOB more than the government, with reasons.

Fear is not why they are singing holy holy Nnamdi Kanu.

The decision taken by Soludo to shutdown the market for a week was not just perplexing but sheer ignorance!
Traders decided to stay at home on Mondays not mainly out of choice but because of the fear of hoodlums who might use such opportunities to loot, steal and inflict bodily harm on defenceless traders!
What Soludo should have done is to allay fears by first providing security details every Monday to ensure law and order and assure them of continuous security!
This is what he should have first done!

The only reason why soludo is so bold in taking these reckless and preposterous decisions is because those bestowed with oversight functions are either sleeping on their responsibilities or the flawed constitution have impeded them from acting accordingly!

However, most of these traders are partly to blame for the sudden emergence of 'low budget' Wike unleashed on them.
When it was time for election, they preferred to either stay at home complaining or collected maltina & meat pie to vote for their oppressors!

This is the result!

I urge the security forces to show no mercy.

Let them go and sit at home.

Which law are you quoting from?
Which law in the constitution states that a trader or business person must be forced or coerced to open their shop when they don't feel like doing so?

you make alot of sense her, bug I disagree with you when you say is because of fear. Who are those hoodlums. Those hoodlums you mentioned also have shop in that market. A strange can't just go go such a big market and start to attack people to close there shop. Igbo traders have association worldwide, why can't tbose traders report to the governor who can even provide security for them. In Ilorin here that am base, Igbo traders close shop every last Saturday of the month till 12pm. Any shop that open before 12pm will be pick up and fine.

The question you haven't asked is....has Soludo provided constant security for the traders?
The answer is a resounding NO!
Soludo will even tell you he doesn't control the security!
So why should a trader risk his life and business to open his shop only for some groups to inflict harm on them and their business!
There people that have been murdered due to their refusal to comply!
The governor should provide security not closure!

Videos circulating online capture multiple protests across Anambra State after Governor Soludo ordered the closure of Onitsha Main Market for one week. Angry traders flooded the streets, singing solidarity songs and chanting the name of Nnamdi Kanu.
