A 35 year old footballer that claims he is 21 will not play for long before age will expose his lie. Simple things that work in other places become rocket science once they cross into Nigerian territory. |

hslbroker2:They will soon come here to blame the US or the west. The trains of exploitation under colonial rule were more functional than those under independence and liberty. Such a paradox. |

Before you know it, some people would begin to lay curses on Nigeria. The problem is not Nigeria, as a country, but evil leadership and unpatriotic citizens. Budget would be made to acquire something, those in charge would cut corners by importing substandard ones claiming that they are brand new. Unbridled greed and lack of love for country is our bane as a people. We don't love ourselves and we don't love our country! Nigeria is a blessed country inhabited by wicked people. Yet, we claim to be one of the most religious people on earth! What an irony! @hotseat |

Azazyel:Train transport is supposed to be cheap I don't know but privatization might make it too expensive. Railway is suppose to be run by the government but countries like Japan and the U.s seems to have privatized their own and its working well for them but nigeria being poor nation might make it difficult, even the stuffs that have been privatized in this country have been like the electricity no improvement it usually leads to exploitation in this rotten country. |

If you seriously don't want to be born on Africa continent in your afterlife, there's something you need to do before you die.....first, don't die on the continent of Africa and when you die, don't be buried in Africa. You will observe that all the terrible African leaders that died overseas always have their bodies brought back to Africa to be buried, reason, cos the family or in their will before dying, they expect and believe that their bodies would be Reposed and be brought back to life making them more wicked than their previous life. As long as we African keep on returning the dead bodies of all these terrible leaders to be buried in Africa, there wouldn't be any progress or good leadership by good citizens. For example, In Uganda, Idi Amin repossessed Museveni, In Nigeria, Abacha keep repossessing every leaders that has been coming after him. Same with all the other African countries.....the only solution is cremation, if we start practising the act of cremation in Africa continent, then, the terrible spirits of our ancestors, leaders etc....would not be able to be brought back into circulation all over again.............. hslbroker2: |

lordprogress:Yeah I get your point. The problem is that FG cannot maintain the railway sector. There's too much corruption in the public sector and civil service. Most of the cash for maintenance ends up in people's pockets |

| Re: Abuja–Kaduna Trains Slower Than Bicycles, Senate Raises Alarm by SonOfWords(m): 10:25am On Jan 30 |
badoh:This issue is not being brought up on the altar of Northern/Southern politics. The lawmakers are complaining because the declining train services directly affect them. The Abuja-Kaduna train service draws it largest patronage from the political and elite class and I can say this because I have personal real-time experiences. They're not lamenting because the Nigerian public has been complaining since 19-kpiridim, but because their once reliable means of dealings between those two cities has been badly impacted by our poor maintenance culture. Pay no mind to those legislative clowns ! |

Azazyel:You are right it might be worth trying government can sell some othe stakes to the private sector and maybe keep some stakes in order to have some kind of control. it won't be wise to handover everything to the private sector knowing how greedy an average nigerian is. |
