Win For Wike’s Camp As Court Nullifies PDP’s Ibadan Convention by kcmichael(op): 11:26am On Jan 30
A Federal High Court sitting in Ibadan has nullified the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, National Convention held in Ibadan, Oyo State, on November 15, 2025.

The court barred members of the Tanimu Turaki-led National Working Committee, NWC, from parading themselves as national officers of the PDP.

The court also ruled that the Caretaker Committee led by Mohammed Abdulrahman and Senator Samuel Anyanwu is the only recognised NWC of the PDP, pending the conduct of a valid National Convention.

The court ruling is the latest twist in the protracted crisis rocking the PDP.

An exercise in futility

The court has no jurisdiction over how a party runs it's affairs

The court can only come in if they fail to act by their own constitution

So they fail
Talk another thing

There is no need for any Court Case anymore, the big players in the party have already dumped the party for Wike and his friends. So the case is not needed in the first place.

I told people on this forum three years ago that if Tinubu becomes president, then true democracy will also die in Nigeria. How many times have we heard this saying in this Tinubu regime " It is victory for democracy or judiciary is the last hope of common man" ? If Tinubu wins 2027, the country will become "dead"

Let Makinde, Bala and their cacus decamp to ADC and leave pdp for Wike and let see how he will transform it and make it a formidable opposition party. Clones.
Re: Win For Wike’s Camp As Court Nullifies PDP’s Ibadan Convention by LibertyRep: 11:59am On Jan 30
The Ibadan convention was actually to flex muscle. Even the organisers knew it won't stand.

After 2027 elections. Those who benefitted immensely from the PDP structure should repent and reorganise the party. It's the only National party with enough spread to offer credible opposition. This is why it should not be allowed to die.

I love this Tinubu government. Only death can remove this man from government and the power of death is only in God’s hands

The man Wike ....

We have talked about it here, countess times..

He is a rugged intelligent politician that picks his fights carefully..

He somehow ensures he is on the right side of the law and uses this to his full advantage.

Somehow, Wike has beaten Gov Seyi Makinde at his backyard in Ibadan.

Pure politics.

Could you specify instances of the alleged violation of the PDP Constitution?

Mention the name of the Judge that gave that ruling, let us know where the problem of this country is coming from.

Just port to ADC... That party will eventually emerge as the major opposition party. Leave pdp for Wike and his bandits.

After they finish dismantling The pdp, they will face those clowns the Adc next.

Wike singlehandedly helped Tinubu dismantle the pdp, yet some ingrates & ungrateful elements in the APC want Fubara to be the one that enjoys the benefit of Wike’s hustle?

That convention was null and void ab initio. Makinde and co allowed emotions to becloud their reasoning.

PDP is already died and buried as far as 2027 is concerned

Are they planning to come back from the dead

This is against the constitution

When it comes to winning Political Court Cases
Wike has a joker card up his sleeve that he must reveal for Posterity sake when he writes his memoirs.

We already knew Wike would Win because of his track record of Winning such Cases
