So they will stand up when oba of benin visit lagos ? Make person carry generational numbness de drop s3nseless comment on Nal.

grandstar:
Delta Igbos don't see themselves as core Igbos. I know some would protest.

Do you know parts of Lagos were under the Benin empire centuries ago. Though Yoruba speaking, their loyalty is the Benin.

When the Ooni of Ife was in Lagos for a meeting some years back and the Oba of Lagos present, the latter gave him a rather cold handshake while sitting and the Ooni standing up. It showed where his loyalty lay.

Yes, these are Yoruba speaking people claiming they are descended from the Benin Empire and Yorubas are fine with it.

Let’s be on the same page. Think about what just happened in Onitsha. Now imagine the kind of chaos, trade freeze, and supply-chain disruption that would erupt if Dubai’s main market were shut down for a whole week not the normal, understood Friday slowdown, but a full stop.
. kiss cry

Re: Chinese Businesswoman Angry About The Closure Of Onitsha Main Market by Ewedegubbler: 3:41pm On Jan 30
Soludo solution. He just solved the sit at home menace with a simple solution mechanism.

Since u don’t go to market on Mondays, then u are better off staying at home.
Re: Chinese Businesswoman Angry About The Closure Of Onitsha Main Market by BENEAMATA: 3:42pm On Jan 30
Market is still closed.? Seriously.? I thought the warrior clans must by now have engaged and neutralise the security agents and opened shops by now .
Re: Chinese Businesswoman Angry About The Closure Of Onitsha Main Market by Chucks13: 3:42pm On Jan 30
So what should we do about it? Is Anambra Beijin or Ghuenzu or he owned the market or the market was built with his money or what exactly?

If you know the global supply chain that has been disrupted by this market closure you will be angry with both the traders and the Governor.

Again , what exactly is the Monday sit at home meant to achieve?

My secret fear is that Asaba will be the final beneficiary of this leadership failure
Has Soludo stopped the insecurity? Why force people out of their homes? He claimed that there is insecurity in Anambra orchestrated by outsiders. Has he stopped it?

Soludo has joined unknown gunmen in enforcing sit at home.

Professor that thinks one can use fuel to quench fire.

Onitsha generally is currently dry.
And hasn't he made them rescind their initial position? Soludo fits them...since you want to sit at home on Monday and eat ofe nsala, let's eat it for a whole week.

By February they will all behave themselves when it gets opened or he locks it up for a month grin and all their noise like yours ends on social media!

Soludo could have handled this issue diplomatically.

I don't what he really want to achieve by closing the market.
Is it all about the money or concern?
The union should also help themselves by opening the market

That's the number of days the market has been closed down by subversives. The government only close for one week, una wan burn Anambra state down 😥 ok, continue
Re: Chinese Businesswoman Angry About The Closure Of Onitsha Main Market by Aidoko2: 3:46pm On Jan 30
The Jos Terminus and Maiduguri market has been burnt down. Igbo will soon lose their market and only Yoruba’s Alaba and co will remain.
Better use your head my brothers

And somehow there's "insecurity" only on Monday!

Didn't you all tell us everywhere is peaceful just this December? Abi "insecurity" went on holiday?

Soludo fits you all well! By the end of the week long lockdown, I bet you, they will report for duty on MONDAY

Onpe.. market finished for China?
Re: Chinese Businesswoman Angry About The Closure Of Onitsha Main Market by Inosky: 3:54pm On Jan 30
Soludo failed Peace and Conflict Resolution in school, that's why he lost control and reasoning on how to handle Monday sit-at-home in a nonkinetic way and still achieve his aim. His professorship is questionable.

Is not just anyother market, this is the largest market in west Africa and if only you know the number of people coming into that market from all over Nigeria and some west African countries, only then you will appreciate the effects of this closure.
is it bigger to ALABA INTERNATIONAL MaRKet ?
Re: Chinese Businesswoman Angry About The Closure Of Onitsha Main Market by noony926(op): 4:07pm On Jan 30
This is absolute so funny ehhh. Taking attendance as pupils, we traders have really suffered. Gra-gra-gra na by force to go market on Monday. Even before the governor was born, that market has been into existence, which master plan is he talking about. Don't bring perpetual hatred on yourself because say you be governor.

Re: Chinese Businesswoman Angry About The Closure Of Onitsha Main Market by hotseat: 4:09pm On Jan 30
The people creating anarchy in the State should be held accountable and definitely not the State Governor.

When the traders are tired, they would plead with the Governor to reopen it.

The ball is obviously in their court.

If they insist on maintaining the status quo, the Governor is equally prepared to have the market under lock and key.

Who blinks first?

If you have been to Main Market Onitsha, you won't be asking this question. The market itself and all the adjoining plaza, buildings and rest are what constitute to make it what it is, and consider the volume of West Africa traders that patronize the market. I don't think there's any market in Nigeria that will compare to Main Market Onitsha (MMO) Anambra State, perhaps maybe in future but presently non.

Shame no dey catch you to show 2024 paper? This was when Kanu was still do yanga for Nigerian courts and at the mention of Ekpa you all cower under your beds...a lot has happened between then and now...Mazi and Ekpa have been incarcerated!

Didn't you guys do "detty December" at home or like I said, somehow did "insecurity" go on break too?

So what else are you guys afraid of...not even in Maiduguri did people cower in fear like this and lockup their markets!

Abeg open your shop when Soludo opens the market or I trust Soludo to lockup your shops for one month until you behave yourselves!
