Those calling for the replacement of Kashim Shettima with a northern Christian ahead of the 2027 presidential election were never genuine supporters of Tinubu in 2023, and they are unlikely to support him even if he runs on the same ticket with the Pope.
Their agitation is not driven by electoral pragmatism or party loyalty, but by a calculated strategy that could push Tinubu toward the brink of a crushing electoral defeat. Honestly Bros! By now, Nigeria as a country ought to be dealing with issues of national development and cohesion, but instead we find ourselves still dealing with issues our ancestors were struggling with more than half a century ago! That an sizeable chunk of the country is comfortable to say they will not vote for a candidate unless both individuals on the presidential ticket are Moslem, says all that needs to be said about how far we have evolved as a country and integrated into a nation with a commonality of purpose! When i say now that this country is irredeemable and i want my people out, they will point at me and shout ‘treason’ then come for my head!

President Donald Trump is very interested in the next elections, and would prefer a Christian president, since Muslim presidents have ruled for the past 12 years.

In a country where the population of Christians is equal or more than the population of other religions. A Christian president should take the turn in 2027.

If Tinubu himself is not the one tinkering with the idea, why does all his campaign posters currently exclude Shettima despite the pushback from some quarters within the APC? When he decided to run on muslim-muslim ticket in 2023, did he do so at gunpoint or he did it, despite the protests, because he wanted Northern Muslim votes? Continue to bury your head in the sand. Whatever decision he ends up making will also be 100% his decision.

No Supporter of BAT will expect him to use a Christian from the North as VP. It’s political suicide. Only ADC and Obidients will celebrate BAT dumping Shettima for a Christian northerner. This complex political calculation is why BAT is d first muslim southern president of Nigeria. Only a bold and fierce politician can achieve this.

I don’t understand what is wrong here .. he want to drop a northerner for another northerner , and that is a problem because if the new one is not a Muslim, then he is not a northerner enough .. smh
