You wouldn't run a business without checking your KPIs, so why treat your body any differently? Knowing your 'Normal' is the first step in preventative health. Which of these parameters do you think is the most underrated for long-term health?

Na wetin medical schools dey teach you download give us so.

Expecting a BP of 120/80 being constant is like expecting a presidential candidate in Nigeria to be consistent while on a campaign.

Health parameters have range therefore their is a " standard" ..

BP for instance is 120/80 .... whether ur Bp monitor is made in china or made in Us ...they are designed to project readings sometimes you just guage with discretion .. so far the increase is less than 10 sym/dia its okay
i uses BP cos that is the only one people mostly do at home by themselves

others test are run at med lab .... the readings are accurate and you will see reference range i.e standard cheesy

130/70 for blood pressure. I ran my body temperature yesterday at the hospital and it read 33/38 I can't recall and the doctor was like it's pretty high. I contacted influenza it was so bad that my head was so heavy 🪨 can't even move it.
I was stabilized ; given some vitamins; painkillers through infusion and they ran x-ray; ekg at the end at no cost.
The doctor came to me and said and I quote:
My mission for you today is to make sure you got stabilized; I will send a nurse to bring you hospital food and water; when your drip is finished and you still feel headache I will prescribe another one but you will go home today at no cost.
I was like all this things at no cost. My brothers and sisters make Europe happen to good people of Nigeria. Amen.

36.6 to 37.2 is the correct range of temperature. 37.5 is high temperature.

To check all those things could cost 500k-1m

Can an average Nigerian afford such?

The only thing I check regularly is my BP and sugar level (every 2 weeks or a month)

Kidney function, twice a year, HIV and hepatitis twice a year

I do think a lot of these vary from race to race.

BP for example, black men (and women) can cope and effectively work as normal with so called higher BP for extended periods.

Same as the PSA thing for black men, it can be high and still not be a sign of prostrate issues unlike in other races.

when writing results for blood sugar test the range is written in brackets to guide the doctor
Different test kits have different ranges
Accucheck range is different from other reagents strips
