bentenny:The governor is the chief security officer of the state, he doesn't need the president to come down to his state to do his job. Lagos state government didn't call the president before setting a security taxforce and supporting all law enforcement agencies with equipments. The governor meets with security heads almost every week. They don't need the president in that meeting. If he needs reinforcement the commissioner of police can contact the AIG in the Zone The military will do the same. |

adenigga:Isn't it interesting that they made no mention of Biafrans in Delta state, are there no Anioma or Ika Biafrans that they could have name checked and call on to observe the sit at home? It looks like the West of the Niger from Asaba onwards is not considered Ala Biafra, like I said, interesting. And I saw the "and beyond" in that statement before the usual suspects pipe up and try and conflate matters. |

jamafa: ![]() That is your own opinion of things. What is legal to you can also be illegal to others in Nigeria. People have the right to non violence protest in what they believe. If you don't, that does not make it wrong in anyway despite whatever form of economic consequences The civil servant do protest and down their tools despite the economic losses. Trade unions do same. As long as it is non violent, you have no reason to use economic losses to criticize a protest embarked by private citizens Think Mr man |

Omenlon:If you don't know that the president not the state governors control security in Anambra state and every other state, then you are one of the most ignorant data boys I have ever met! Why do you think you were given a free phone and data? To do copy and paste? Smh |

Exousiang01:Why are most of you data boys so ignorant of the Nigerian constitution? If I may ask you these simple questions....who appointed and posted the state commissioner of police to any state including Lagos state? Who appoints the IGP? Who is the IGP answerable to? If after answering these questions, you cannot connect the dots or still remain in your current state of ignorance, then you need to go back to school! Ignorance is a choice! |

bentenny:So the Lagos state government took permission from the president before setting up a security trust fund? Almost every vehicle you see the army, navy, airforce, police, immigration, civil defense, NDLEA etc using were procured by the Lagos security trust fund. Do you think the governor will call the commissioner to respond to a case of insecurity and the commissioner will say he doesn't have vehicles? Some of you think from your asses. Because the president is the commander in chief every state governor should wait for the president to equip them to protect their own people? |

Punch should share the source of the stay at home orders. We noticed they neglected naming any names in the writing. Edit: How does Punch Newspaper have a seemingly symbiotic relationship with IPOB? Pls help me with my reading and analytical comprehension. |

Soludo- the one of the very few Logical southeast person dead/alive - is the problem of south east but the likes of Peter obi - who sees the ippobs destroying alaigbo as his 'brothers' - is the hero, right?? Chai, you guys have a long way to go. Even if you decide to 'push forward' the likes of soludo/umahi tomorrow, the damages that have been done from the past even till present has already blocked their way. The best bet for ndigbós is to push for biafrà! ZombieTAMER: |

Exousiang01:I believe you actually reason from your highlighted! All you simply had to do was a simple research to wipe out your ignorance but you preferred to remain stagnant with what you have been fed believing a governor is the chief security officer! Data is freely given to you to do further research on a topic and not for copy and paste! FYI the president controls security in every state according to the Nigerian 1999 constitution! The president controls the IGP....the IGP controls the state commissioner of police! The state commissioner of police can not receive a directive from a state governor without the permission of the IGP who is answerable to the presidency! This is common knowledge but ignorance is bliss! |

If ipob still exists and active, they should enforce 1year- the whole 2026 work free days to know they are serious. True Igbo should never allowed ipob monster to come back after Buhari and Tinubu have conquered them for you. Igbo can see development from left, right and center now without ipob/ESN. If Igbos put themselves into the ipob bondage again, no one will bother to free them. Beware! |
