REACTION TO MISLEADING PUBLICATION ON ACCORD OSUN GOVERNATORIAL CANDIDACY

The attention of the Accord Party has been drawn to a misleading and false publication circulating in the public space, alleging that Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke has been uploaded by the Accord Party as its candidate for the 2026 Osun State Governorship Election.

For the avoidance of doubt, *this claim is entirely false, misleading, and calculated to deceive the public.

While the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) may claim to have received certain nomination information, INEC cannot deny that it also duly received and acknowledged the nomination of Mr. Kolawole Clement Bamigbola submitted alongside all statutory documents, including EC9, EC13B, and the report of a validly conducted primary election, at its Abuja headquarters.

Accordingly, the duly nominated and legitimate gubernatorial candidate of the Accord Party for the 2026 Osun State Governorship Election is Mr. Kolawole Clement Bamigbola**.

It is important to state clearly that while issues relating to the national leadership of the Accord Party remain sub judice, the Prof. Chris Imumolen–led faction** has taken all lawful, procedural, and constitutional steps to protect the party from hijackers, impersonators, and unlawful interference, and to preserve the integrity of its internal democratic processes pending the final determination of the court.

The misleading publication was deliberately crafted to create the false impression that there is no credible Accord Party candidate, and to cast doubt on the valid candidacy of Kolawole Clement Bamigbola. This narrative is false, baseless, and must be completely disregarded.

The public, the media, and all stakeholders are therefore strongly advised to discountenance speculative reports, propaganda, and manufactured narratives intended to undermine the Accord Party and its lawful candidate. There exists no legal or factual basis for the claims being circulated.

We urge all party members and supporters to remain calm, focused, and resolute in their support for Kolawole Clement Bamigbola, as the Accord Party remains firmly committed to due process, internal democracy, and the rule of law.

The Accord Party will not be distracted by mischief-makers or political opportunists. The facts are clear, the records are intact, and the law will prevail.

Signed:
Accord Party

Once this party knows they cannot beat you, they use the courts and throw in imaginary faction. Someone who was a delegate in the APC Primary days before want to be AP candidate, dey play.

Adeleke is the AP Governorship Candidate, Bamigbola can head to Court, that's fine. They know what's coming in August.....

APC want to use backdoor to disqualify the governor the way they did to Omisore and the rest of the contestants. What Tinubu is doing is no more politics but tyranny. Let's see if he will disqualify the whole governor using INEC and court.

ADELEKE TOO MUMU. Never knew the guy can't even put a political structure together. A whole incubent Governor can't find a political party to accept him to be their flagbearer. It's clear that if not for Davido, this guy wouldn't have become Governor in the first place.
