Yes it did. But not in the way that Churches today or Nollywood has presented it. The real danger is Participation not attack. If a Christian practices witchcraft he or she will not enter the Kingdom of God. (Galatians 5: 19-21)

So, you see that what the church today is calling witchcraft , are all fantacies or fictionally magic, and are therefore not real, thereby deceiving people. Eg mountain of fire church.

The Galatians 5:19-21 you mention did not specifically define what it means by witchcraft, meaning, it might just be seen as behavior of wickedness like hatred, variance, wrath, envy, etc.
And moreover, the witch of Endo in the old testament was simply idolatry inwhich some of their rituals were soccery or magic practices.
These things are not new in entertainment and children story books or movies
