I understand the point you’re making, but saying it isn’t about patriarchy doesn’t fully hold up. Religion did not develop in isolation, it emerged within societies that were already male dominated.So when religious leadership was structured around men, it reflected the cultural realities of that time, not necessarily a divine declaration that women are unfit to lead.
Btw, even if we accept that traditionally Men held specific positions, why must that remain unchanged forever?
Why is it that any attempt at growth is immediately shut down with references to ancient texts like “that’s how it’s always been done Mantra”?
We should remember that humans (people like us) interpreted, recorded, and enforced many of the rules that govern society today.
If humans created these systems, why should they be immune to change?
