Bandits have burnt down the Divisional Police Station in Agwara town, headquarters of Agwara Local Government Area of Niger State, raiding a church and kidnapping at least five people in the community.

Sources told Daily Trust that the attackers arrived around 4am and engaged the police officers in a gun battle.

They eventually set the police station on fire, and reportedly moved to the UMC Church and some parts of the community, abducting no fewer than five people.

A resident of Agwara town, Mallam Hussaini Mohammed, told Daily Trust on the telephone that part of the church was also set ablaze.

He said the attack had heightened fear in the town, forcing many residents to flee.

The spokesperson of the Niger State Police Command, SP Wasiu Abiodun, confirmed the attack, saying no life was lost.

According to him, “On 1/2/26 at about 3.40am, armed bandits invaded Agwara community, attacked the Police station where they were engaged by the tactical team on ground, used suspected dynamite to set the station ablaze, having overpowered the team.

“The terrorists later moved to UMC church in the community, burnt part of the church, proceeded to other areas and abducted about five persons whose identity is yet to be ascertained. Monitoring continues, further development will be communicated, please.”

2027 here we come! Tinubu doesn't care about the voters because he will bribe his way through as always. At least he will use the taxes to bribe all the governors to rig the elections in his favour.

With all these happening you still don't want to see things the way Nnamdi Kanu sees it. There's no reasonable reason to we south south and south east to share a country with these terrorists. You're sick if you're a south southerner and a south easterner and still believe in one Nigeria. Infact you're irredeemable. South west and north can be one for all I care, but the two other region mentioned above have no business being part of Nigeria.

Terrorists are unleashing wanton destruction Trump came with collaborative support and some northern mafia began to politicize and whip up religious sentiment.

Let try out Nigeria for a year without the north and watch out for the kind of change we may have.

Just as many others did, I wrote bad things and spent some Years painting this People as evil, yet this did not Solve the Problem. I've come to one Conclusion that what if we Start to genuinely see things from their Perspective? Why can't the Government arrange a mutual Understanding Meeting between the Owners of these Places and those attacking them? The Discussion should be very sincere to ask for what the attackers really want for them to permanently lay down arms. If parts of the Lands is given to the Fulani Herdsmen for the Killings to permanently stop, I think it would be a Good Deal. I'm talking as one of the Persons that have used all I could to fight them, but it all proved futile. I have Vowed to seek only an amicable Solution to the Challenge. Please, let's embrace Dialogue with them because I have learned from Experience that sincere Dialogue between Human beings can Solve any Problem no matter how difficult.

My Years of Research uncovered The Truth that all these Problems you see in Nigeria is not the fault of Fulanis, Igbos, Yorubas or Hausa, etc. It is actually Satan that started manipulating Human beings against one another from long time ago. One of the Greatest Manipulations that he did: https://www.nairaland.com/8610230/ahayahsha-original-supremely-powerful-name

Re: Bandits Set Fire On Church, Police Station, Kidnap Niger State Residents by BodePolScience: 5:44pm On Feb 01
The problem is not with the centre. State governments and community leaders should have the lion share of the blame. Later you will see these so called leaders having peace talks with these daredevils bandits and even giving them large sum of money appealing and toasting them to shealth their swords.
