Ifunanya Nwangene, a 25-year-old Abuja-based classical, jazz, RnB, and soul singer, popularly known by her stage name Nanyah, has reportedly passed away after suffering a snake bite at her residence in the early hours of the morning.

Very Nigerian gathered that the incident occurred at her home in Abuja when a snake attacked her, inflicting a bite that later proved fatal.

According to information gathered, Nanyah reportedly made frantic efforts to save her life after the incident, rushing herself to two different hospitals for urgent medical attention.

However, she was said to have been turned away or left untreated due to the unavailability of anti-venom at the facilities she visited.

Report indicate that she did everything she could to survive. She went to more than one hospital, but there was no anti-venom.

In school I was thought that it also helps to suck out the blood 🩸 in the bitten area to reduce the amount of venom

yes, many times, people know a lot of first aid treatments but in reality, what will be will be.

Let's understand this. UK is a temperate country locating in the temperate region and temperate snakes are nonvenomous; meaning that there are not poisonous. Nigeria is a tropical country locating in the tropics. Biogeographically, equatorial region is a home to most deadliest species of animals (reptiles inclusive). In UK, out of 50 snakes,the chance of seeing one that is poisonous in the midst of them is less than 1. Comparing snake bites in UK and Nigeria is a bias argument that lacks credibility.Netizens are not fools.We came from different field of studies. Stop blaming the government. I want everyone to know that hospitals don't usually have anti snake venom. However local herbalists do have most effective snake anti venom

This information is for the loving to take note where such emergency arise, ask locals for direction

But nothing in the Video to indicate that the snake had just fatally bitten someone. Hope it's not bloggers using an unrelated video to cash out from the unfortunate incident.

I planned that this year I will have a pet snake. Last week I was at Hotel Presidential to see if those Abokis that sell different kinds of animals have snake for sale.

My aim of wanting to have a snake as a pet is for social media content. I am watching some YT tutorials on how to take care of a snake. Can someone recommend non venom snakes?
