Pls i ve been invited for Biometrics in lagos. I wish to visit my wife in Germany. My wife is on fellowship. Am a civil servant in Nigeria. Pls what am i to expect in Lagos at d consulate? What documents am i to come with? Will there be an interview or just submit documents n Biometrics? I need more info pls.

Your appointment in Lagos is mainly for document submission and biometrics (fingerprints + photograph). In most cases, there is no full interview, but the officer may ask a few simple questions to confirm your purpose of travel and relationship. So be calm, honest, and confident.

Thks for ur reply. I need more info on the particular documents to bring along. Like my data page passport, do i also come with a colored photocopy, pictures of my wife n I? Can i get a link too pls.

Any documents dat relate to you and your wife don't hesitate to take them along..even d picture u talk about,and your marriage certificate from a court registry, just any documents go with it...it's better to go their with enough documents of yours than going their and realized you left one behind...best of luck ..

I am still trying to get an appointment date. Please how did you get this appointment date, what link did you use? And how long does it take to get the appointment date?

I think i applied late Nov 2025 and got a date in Jan. Theres a cue. Just apply and remove ur mind but chk ur mail often. The site is online. Not with it at d moment.

Pls do i need to go with a prepaid courier envelope?
A self-addressed prepaid courier envelope from any major courier service, addressed to yourself (please ensure the address on is legible to facilitate delivery)
Or wld the embassy give u when ur present?
